It’s pretty easy to start in FFXIV. It can be a little culture shock at first, but once you figure it out, it’s pretty great.

Regarding Sam, you need to get it to at least 60 to start feeling better. Once you hit that, you get the Kenki bar resource and eventually a bunch of moves that act as filler attacks that aren't subject to the GCD/can cancel animations, as well as mobility enhancements.

I think the thing that might help is using different characters to keep things interesting for a bit. Next month they are releasing new weapons and heroes, so that will help if they can keep up stuff. New map /w different mechanics could be cool, also.

Attachments I think are needed because you need a way to progress power during the game. Besides, the attachment system is good in this. Auto swaps on gun replacement, lets you know if it is better than what you have, etc

Healer girl and the bastion dude are the support classes, but all classes have support type abilities. Blood can locate enemies, Gibraltar can shield dome, soldier girl can lay down smokes, etc I like lifeline because heal drone, shields while ressing, and support item drop pod ult.

I played a few rounds of this tonight. Pretty good...still need to get a feel for the weapons and the different characters, but I like it more than Blackout at the moment. TTK feels right and the squad synergies will give this a bit more life than regular BRs.

The ghost girl or whatever can summon a portal that your team can use to teleport to new spots. Makes for great flanking opportunities if your team is paying attention.
