Like others have stated, each expansion (and to lesser degree, major patch) sort of resets the gear treadmill and it is pretty easy to get caught up. Because you have to slog through a lot of MSQ, might be a good time to start to at least get you closer to the expansion content in terms of level.

No, just a Fantasia. You could equip your retainer in your gear and use a retainer Fantasia as an experiment, since retainer fant is much cheaper and that lets you play with the same character creation features as a player.

IMO if you're having trouble getting kills, drop in a hot drop spot that isn't wide open and is more "linear". Lighthouse and Nuke Bunker are my favorites for this reason: Limited points of entry (which makes barbed wire, trip wires, and microwave barrier really powerful here), mostly indoors...

Ya, I love the SAM playstyle. The dash back/dash forward lets you maximize DPS while avoiding AOEs/damage mechanics and working up for those ultra crit attacks is nice and they have good AOE, although it drains energy like crazy.

You'd think by now that devs would understand that Shadowbane is a case study of how to lose your entire population in less than a month. Massive time investment to build up something + minimal investment by someone else to undo all your hard work = people who lost the stuff end up quitting.

Blackout is the best BR out right now, so if you're big on BR, it is worth it. That is literally the only reason I bought it.
