Good for Mark if he gets there. I just hope he'll be able to implement all the stuff he is talking about. He is in super-hype mode for his fans. The problem is, now there is a huge chance for super-letdown.
Last two episodes were the best so far for the whole series. Fucking Daenerys' scene last week was probably the best scene of the show to date. The look on her face when she starts commanding the Unsullied in Old Valeryian is awesome.
Second best scene of the show so far, imo, was this week's...
Yup. I remember in Alpha I found a build that was giving me a 2-3 attack cycle with a rogue and using it for weeks and talking about it on the boards and finally the rogue devs was like "What you can do that?" then nerfed it to shit. Rogues were in a shit state for a very long time.
Class design was always the game's weakness imo, except for the mage classes and vanilla Clerics.
Ninja edit: The class system is a good one, but the actual class design is very dull and seems like they didn't feel like putting the effort into making many synergies.
I like how wildstar has separate raids for 40 mans and 20 mans. No more different difficulties and raid sizes of the same map. Each raid is different no matter the size, and they are all challenging. Once you started creating alternative versions you started to wear down the accomplishments, in...
Re: rift
Yes it's a good thing. Everything you said was incorrect. Essentially Rift launched a game nearly flawlessly, with new technology, and had atema that was very open about development and worked quickly.
IMO it's Vanilla WOW with all the current day WOW qualities of life + housing and pvp housing. Toss in upgraded graphics and few other new layers and other modern MMORPG tropings. It's really not hiding what it is. If you don't want a modern WOW but with more challenge to the raid game, then...
The game takes place on a single planet, The Nexus, while it also has different zones on space stations, the moon (I think) and other space-type places. There is a zone where gravity is less so you jump hire and fall slower. You can find a PAX east video of it.
That's a pretty cool article and those videos have been posted already. The UI is fully moddable like WOW. Apparently people are doing it already in beta.
My wife's due date is this saturday and pre-labor signs haven't even started yet (mucus plug, water breaking, "lightening" or "dropping"). Getting kind of antsy, all this waiting is messing with my head.
That was the last cool thing she ever does. The next best thing is when she stops being a whiny bitch and goes looking for her dragon at the end of B5.
I'm watching this season with my wife and her friend. The friend commented after the show: "Well that episode was awesome, too bad this show is just the 'Robb Stark Show'" I can't wait for the Red Wedding. Oh so good.
Reminds me of AOC + Darkfall combat/player animations. Combat animations really need to be tuned up a lot and the character models look like ass from what I'm seeing, but that's par for the course in some Elder Scrolls games.
It's not like they can make one shit movie and sit backand recoup. They need to make several good movies, especially after the prequels, just to make their money back.
