So ... 1600+ deaths to Radahn. Trying to figure out if this is some AI thing? Or fake gameplay with some girl reading comments? She allegedly is playing the game.
Speaking of Death, original members (Terry Butler and Rick Rozz) formed Left To Die, carrying on the early Death sound.
This track could be straight off Leprosy or Spiritual Healing:
Really enjoying Hammerdin. You can start chucking hammers at low levels. 👍
Some comparing the new areas to TitanQuest. The TitanQuest 2 devs need to takes notes on this game about proper optimization. D4 looks pretty great and zero upscaling required.
This looks as good/better than Elden Ring. Also the LOTF 2.0 combat was more responsive than Elden Ring.
There's very few sloppy animations that just hang for no apparent reason, other than just the balance spreadsheet says so.
TLDW:
- beta is April 22 if you bought Millers Edition or Collectors
- Mass Effect + The Division hybrid game
- different team from those working on Pathfinder/Warhammer
Really well done adaptation of the book.
Only minor gripe is their direction style. They could cut back on the "dream sequence-y" stuff and linger more on the real stuff. Same issue I had with Spiderverse. Subjective though.
Definitely worth watching in IMAX.
Uhh for games like this the learning curve is many hours of losing on each character.
To each their own obviously, but cannot imagine not checking basic guides for super deep strategy games. 🤔
That Tigole interview is pretty great.
I forgot about the large groups of people that left Blizzard to make Firefall and WildStar.
Were those actually any good? Seemed like pretty high profile failures.
Stormgate is another more recent failure. Have any games marketed as "ex blizzard devs"...
Looks good and competently made but plot and writing are fucking stupid.
Sean Penn is awful and his character's name is Steve J. Lockjaw?
Seems like unintentional parody. The actors can't even save this. PTA fell off pretty hard.
