IIRC one of the reasons they mention for this is that fiends on their home planes are more willing to talk because if they die there they really die, as opposed to just respawning if they die on the prime material plane. It's still stupid, but that's pretty much in line with the new approach...

The Conan board game is back on kickstarter. I backed that initially but when the game got here I immediately shipped it out (making some money in the process) to pay for my Kingdom Death pledge, so I never played it. I heard a lot of good things about it and I'm glad it's back on kickstarter...
