I'm really interested in the coming conference finals. I really want to see if Avs and Sharks really are as flat as we think or if it's just a symptom of their playstyles matched against each other.

Was that the same year as the Joel Ward double minor for high sticking with under a minute to go that you guys scored on both in regulation to tie it, and on the remainder 2 minutes in OT to win it? Or was that another year and we just were royally fucked until last season.

Just the number of dumb things that went on in some of those 7 game losses. I remember the Joel Ward "goalie interference" call that waived off a potential second goal for us in a game that went 1-1 to OT. They literally used the video of it at the GM's meetings when they decided to put the challenge system in as a reason coaches should be able to challenge because it was unanimously voted by all the GM's as not actual goalie interference.

After the season the Avalanche had, getting this far was in itself an accomplishment. Started off super hot and then fell into a wicked slump. It was so bad that it looked like a wasted season. Yet it couldve kept going... Good series, good luck Sharks.
Going forward things look good if Grubauer is legit, can get a little more depth, and stay healthy. They have the 4th overall pick this year, and most of their draft picks have panned out.

Yea, with the Avs youth it will be interesting to see who they protect for the Seattle draft. I think the timing of pulling Makar up means he'll be vulnerable since he'll be in his 3rd season by then.

Nice to see Grubauer find his spot there. You always hate to see a guy go, especially when he helped get you through the regular season into the playoffs where you won the Cup, and we drafted him...but he was too good to just be Holtby's backup.
MacKinnon honestly I thought was the best player left in the playoffs once Round 2 started. Avs top line is absolutely amazing, if they can add some pieces they will be insane. If Ottawa had actually won the 1st pick for them they would literally be Cup favorites in like 2-3 years if they could add Hughes to that lineup.
