Why was there ever any serious doubt about his being cleared to play again once there was a consensus that the cardiac arrest was due to commotio cordis? You could stand him on a field and have him take a thousand tackles straight to the chest without it happening again. Maybe people overreacted because of it having never happened before in 100+ years of college and professional football but it's just not a sport conducive to the incredibly precise criteria required to make it happen. It used to kill a high school or college age Lacrosse player almost yearly but the survival rate has gone way up with the wide availability of AEDs.

Milkshake brain is the one who shouldn't be cleared.

Probably just a safety precaution to make sure there was no lingering side effects. And probably paperwork protocols too.

Yeah that's a gift for the Rams if they are able to offload him and his contract.

Schefter says rams already paid out $5m of his contract but if the steelers pickup the other $10m still seems like a win

Looks like receiver will be on the menu during the draft. Hopefully they pick one taller than the average female this time.

I guess $5mil for a season of ARob isnt bad as your third receiver.

noted by Field Yates of ESPN, the Rams will end up paying Robinson $25.75 million in cash for that one season of production.

Most people aren't all that familiar with ventricular repolarization and just know they saw a guy drop dead in the middle of a game.

being 8 days before the draft the BS meters are full but if it's legit wonder which team(s) it could be

Unless someone is offering a first round +, there is no chance anything happens. The 49ers have a history of QB injuries, and their presumed starter may not even be ready for the season to start.

Hes not worth more than a 4/5 round pick. But with the draft a week away gotta try and get a bidding war going.

Not convinced Purdy is surefire starter going forward once healthy. Haven't seen enough from Lance to know whether he's anything or a bust at this point. Played in two monsoon games last year and got hurt.

Zero chance he moves unless someone went hog wild convinced that he was the man. Teams are probably offering 4th rounder for him and SF would be stupid to take it unless it was at least a first given their QB situation. I'd be very surprised if he is not a Niner next year.

Downside to that is Purdy getting injured and it turns out Lance sucks and now you have a shitty starting QB, when you could have had a shitty starting QB + draft picks

Hey, we've also got Sam Darnold waiting just in case!

I forgot they signed him. Would make more sense why they would be open to trading Lance. Sam can keep the team afloat while Purdy is out.
