I remember playing this a month or two. I think my computer at the time was pretty bad but also that the servers were janky as hell.
It was one of the games I hoped would replace the EQ feeling. Sadly it did not work like all the other games I tried, mainly due to me being too lazy to try find "new friends" to play with.
It was really cool at the time even if the models and animations were pretty bad looking.
I’d shell out serious money for a top of the line PC/Monitor if they ever did a modern day remake with the latest and greatest graphics.
On their page they actually talk about fixing a bunch of the original issues, like leashing.I'm going to bet there's a solid % chance this eventually runs smoother than the actual game.

All I remember about AO is it had a fun twinking system. Get buffs, to insert some stat things in order to get better buffs to then put on the real gear you want to twink with, something like that. It's been a long time and it was fun to figure out how ridiculous you could get twinked out back then.
Time to farm some rockcrete pillowsPRK emu server is patching and wiping on April 10.
IE, a fresh start and a new season of testing, and they’re finally adding functional, rollable missions. Must have been a pain to recreate.
Good time to try AO again.. in theory.. hopefully they’ve fixed some of the crashes that occurred on my system.
The one game that realized all tank players actually want is to have 100x the HP of normal classes, and be three times their size. This is one of the oddest MMOs for me. It was such a mess and yet I loved it. Bureaucrat is still one of the coolest classes ever, imo. In fact, I loved most all of the classes.
