This was honestly the single "best" so bad so good movie. Hundreds of millions of dollars wasted to produce...this?
Incredible. I lost myself in laughter when Aquaman came out of the water fall in his golden swimsuit. That was epic. Epic-ally terrible.

Much needed after the Superman VS Batman. And overall DC's super dark tone.
"Im the meanest son of a bitch alive" version of Batman movies sucked.
Aquaman was a much needed refresher for DC.

Yeah I can see its merits as a so-bad-it's-good film. I think most of that is related to Momoa and Heard.
Despite having shitty chemistry and forced lines that reminded me of Finn/Rose, it sure helped that Arthur/Mera were sexy as fuck and not the ripened cankers found in TLJ. You could smell the moistness in the packed theater whenever Aquaman was on screen, which was almost all the time.
But man was some of the shit in this film just absurd - pretty much anything Orm said, Defoe mailing it in (reminded me of Dinklage in IW), that dumb battle armor the Atlanteans wore, etc.
Going to see the Spidey movie tomorrow which, from what I hear, should be a good palate cleanser.

Saw this yesterday. Great special effects. Everything else from writing to acting was so God Awful. Anytime Amber Heard came on to use her powers and had the look like someone was jamming a tire rod up her ass I just couldn’t even watch - her acting was so damn bad.
Jason Momoa will probably get a bad rap out of this because of shit writing and shit direction.
Overall, some good effects and sound but holy shit does the DC universe have a long ways to come if they want to come close to competing with avengers.
The humor pieces, if anyone can even call it that, were so terrible.

Doubt it. He's already gotten ahead of the story by saying he didn't want the role or expect to be Aquaman, he said villain made more sense.
When he found out they wanted him in the lead his reaction was one of surprise.

Internationally, Aquaman brought in an estimated $85.4 million this weekend from 78 markets for an overseas cume totaling $560 million and a global tally reaching $748.8 million. This makes the film the third largest worldwide release in the DC Extended Universe, topping Suicide Squad.

Aquaman will likely gross one billion worldwide and be DC's biggest film. Kind of crazy to think of all the Marvel films it will outgross. Fucking Aquaman!
