Ah that's too bad I was hoping the same thing. GTA is cool because you're supposed to be eventually put into an impossible situation with the tanks/police where they will wear you down. AC games are so easy I kind of look for a real challenge in them.

come home to play some AC4 and uplay wants to download the whole damn thing again after working fine yesterday. I say fine I can go play a game not wrapped up in a bunch of DRM bullshit and start downloading the 30GB or whatever. Then after 1 minute of downloading at 3MB/s it drops to 8KB/s. I try 3 more times to get it to work and it still drops from 3MB/s to nearly nothing. Fuck it I'll play offline and miss out on a handful of features that require being online but have no online interaction.
Yeah, that's pretty much the last thing I have to do. I'm about half way done with it. But now I have Zelda!
I'm skipping those for now, but I've spent the last few days collecting everything from every island in the upper and mid regions. It takes fucking forever, but I'm going OCD as shit trying to get everything and I never do that in games. I haven't even played the main story in 3 days.

I generally have a rule for my OCD/minmaxing/RPG nature to never do shit I don't want to do in games unless I have a very good reason. I did enough of that shit in Everquest where half the endgame was awful camps/grinding.
Side note: I solved my crashing issue in AC by lowering the graphical settings to the minimum. Game still looks good but it's pretty annoying that I have to do that.

If you click on friends boats while in the Shipping part they speed *way* up. Friends ships show up as Blue Ships on the shipping routes. Not sure how or when then they show up, but I clicked on one and it went from like 24 hours to 30 minutes.

welp underwater gameplay is as awful as it ever was. Even in GW2 where they basically made underwater = flying it still sucked. Definitely not even going to bother getting 100% if it means exploring all the underwater shit.
Also lol @ the number of carrots they dangle to get people to use their stupid multiplayer system. People will use multiplayer and build up an attachment to your shitty uplay service when they enjoy the multiplayer, not when they just use it to get free loot.

Btw one of the Treasure Maps comes from like waaaay deep into the Naval Routes stuff. Was at 21/22 and had no clue where it was and I'm like almost to the end of unlocking everything on the routes and finally got it.

hehe nah, I don't like the gamepad with this game. Can't move your camera around while you're doing anything.
Wait Wut? This game plays sooo much better with a gamepad (use one stick to move and the other to pan the camera). Have you tried it at least? AC was the game that made me purchase a gamepad for my PC. It actually made the game a lot more enjoyable to play.
Anyone tried the app yet? The map-function is rock solid, so awesome having treasure maps (and wold map) available at a second screen.
Finished all of the collectibles. Just have some 100% sync stuff left. Definitely not going to platinum this shit though, fuck getting to level 55 in multiplayer.
Probably going to stream the PlayStation Exclusive Aveline DLC pack in a bit, will try out using the PS4's mic and load up the chat overlay too. No PSEye for camera action though.
