Yea, sitting on MP L55 and "all modes and items" to finish my Platinum - such a long process I put it on hold until I platinum Xcom: Enemy Within and even then, probably stagger it like 5 levels a day or something because that's a hellish grind.

Most of the 100% syncs were pretty easy - double assassination one was probably the trickiest for me.

Yeah I realize I'm in the minority and that the game is built for a gamepad. I played the first couple missions with one, but having to choose to either perform actions or move the camera bothered me enough to switch to mouse/kb.

I really wish games would support using g13 + mouse. Would be the best of both worlds. wasd is a bad approximation of holonomic movement and a joystick is a bad control over xy position.

i mean yea, i know they're gonna revisit it and have all those old asscreed side characters back, but i really loathed desmond, the way they forced you to play a noob, i really hated, i'd be playing ezio and doing ezio shit, then all of a sudden, out of sync, stupid tech girl says i'm awake, stupid british guy makes a comment, soon to be dead blond girl just stands there trying to look cute.

if all they do is "create" experiences with abstergo industries, i'll be so happy!, i won't mind playing the dumb ass frogger game to advance the story, and the fucking prime numbers? who really took the time to figure it out? just choose 3/5/7 and mess around with the last number and you'll get it, i mean these abstergo scenes are just stupid, like they offshored it to some third party developer.

that's what i really liked about AC4, they just gave me an assassin game, based around pirates and 1% regular world stuff.

More like a Pirate game with some Assassin abilities!

Would like to see some other shit like that, where it's more about who the character is than the Assassins. AC4 is the definitely the story of Edward Kenway the Pirate and all the shit he goes through and barely about the Assassin's stuff at all. Frankly, I think we got more than enough of that with the previous games.

I'd love to see someone who is like a Ninja or Monk next, or just something where an Assassin isn't his whole identify.

There's been some strong rumormilling that AC5 is going to be based upon a Samurai, and some of the real world hints they gave would fit an asian theme.

adewale (i actually had a friend named this irl, only reason i can spell the name) will be a DLC campaign, that's cool. (he's your quartermaster) kinda weird all the non desmond bloodline playable assassins are black(aveline is the other), wonder if adewale is the grand-father of aveline. (since aveline's time period is during connor's time)

My one big complaint is the last stretch of the game. Not sure if "rushed" is the proper term to describe it but it did feel as if a big chunk of the game was excised or drastically changed at the last minute. Like having Ann become your quarter master all of sudden when you barely know her. Not sure if it was because of some exec telling them to replace the black man with a sexy big titted lady or what, but it just felt off.

The secondary characters do rotate a bit too quickly - seems almost as if the plan was for it to span multiple games like AC2 and they condensed it.

is the running theme that your quartermaster will be a minority, first a male black slave, then a female.

but to me the weakest secondary master was the assassin mentor, actually was edward ever really an assassin? he had no ceremony, no training, he just seemed like a freelancing swashbuckler, that was tested by the transvestite a few times. all the mentor ever really did was say "here put on these clothes, they work"

So I'm stuck at 99% complete on the PS4 version. I still need to kill a mob with every weapon 7/9 and kill all 6 different sea animals 5/6 looks like these 2 challenges are bugged and can't be done till they patch the game. Doesn't happen to everyone though. I also need to finish the last couple fleet missions to get that challenge done and the final treasure map. Not sure I really want to play multiplayer though to get platinum.

I love this game but I really don't see how they will ever top Pirates Creed! I love that 99% of the game was in the animus and not fucking around in the present day. I always hated that in the other games. I can see them doing something with samurai or ninjas but they would have to tie in the ship somehow and that might not work.

Been saying since before AC3 that they should do a ninja(Assassins) vs samurai(Templar) game. It fits the genre perfectly. I don't really want them to ride the wonderful ship combat in another game though. Maybe have it be some element of the game but not a big part of it.

I was also thinking last night how cool it would be to put an AC game in India. There's some world class buildings in India from the Taj Mahal to Angkor Wat to Sripuram Temple. Plus you could spin the precursor races as being displayed as the various Indian gods which are extremely underrepresented in American fiction. I don't know of a single good game that deals with them.

Angkor Wat is in Cambodia, come on bro.

I'm about 80% done, and have had a blast with this. Once you get your ship fully upgraded though, you pretty much destroy everything in no time... becomes really easy.
