Damn I thought about the benefits of insurance and didn't pursue it in any way!!

I hit up a couple insurance companies last year, but nothing ever came from it. I just figured that some industries are going to take more time than others to "come around".
This one is really just for fire training and investigation, but I'm going to flash it around a bit. Our chief just about got roasted by a propane tank.

Part of a fire we had at 2am this morning. It was on a hill side between two states, barely on the Washington side. Tons of people were calling this one in.
I didn't realize there was a second location until 30 minutes after I got home.

Got an out-of-the-blue call from Insitu two days ago, and a conference call with them yesterday.
They want to set us up as subcontractors so we can do demos for them, but they also said that this often leads to bigger contracts (like energy inspections). I don't know how they ended up finding me specifically, but I was pretty excited to hear the details of why.
They also just found out I'm a firefighter, so we're supposed to talk at the "drone rodeo" about my plans for using drones for emergency response, and if it's finally the right time to pull the trigger on large operations.

Finally decided to go fuck with my uncles dji phantom 3 pro, he hadn't started it in months so i had to spend 3 hours learning how to update the firmware before i could wreck it.
Gonna try to fly a building for modelling with photoscan tomorrow. Seems like dji go app doesn't have much in the line of flying grids, hoping the free photoscan app handles it without me having to spend 8 hours learning it.

Lol, I wish I had seen this yesterday. I don't know if THIS is why you flew into a tree, but one of my guys did this with someone else's drones on a structure scan.
You need to edit the failsafe behavior first, depending on the density and size of the building. Otherwise, you lose contact when flying around the building, and the drone tries to fly back to the home position.
