People just need to let shit go. I was a diehard BF player since 1942 but once I saw the direction they went in BF1, I had zero interest every purchasing BF5 and never regretted the choice.

I still love bf1, but bfv showed where they were heading. When they got pissed at the community and refused to roll back the ttk change no one wanted and stopped updating the game I knew what would happen next.
What sucks is bfv is pretty damn good, just stupid they made more than half the guns unusable.

They just need to rebalance guns, rebalance vehicles, and maybe consolidate specialists or give certain specialist tools to everyone. Then it could be decent. The biggest withdraw I see is vehicles have 0 respawn timer. You have an individual timer, but your teammates don't. So there's 4 air vehicles in the air at all times, even if you shot one down 3 seconds ago. Same with tanks. Lower vehicle spawns, specialists that aren't 75% better than others (Sunset), and make every weapon actually useful in SOME situation and you got yourself a game going, baby!

I really don't get the hate. This game is pretty good. Some aspects of the mapflow could be tweaked for sure, some areas of the 2042 maps really kinda blow, or are only fun in vehicles, while other areas of the map you get much more varied types of encounters.
The only thing I don't like about this game is that it's so fucking CPU-bound. Really brutalizing my poor 9700K, which is kinda my fault for buying a CPU with a very narrow architectural design (8C no HT.)

As a lifelong Battlefield player since day 1. This is the worst BF game to date.
At release it was 3/10 for me. Now it's about 5/10 (3 weeks in).
If by the end of the year, if they don't it lock down and fix hit reg and give us the legacy features that BF fans want, then I won't be purchasing any more BF games.
I know I can't be alone in this thinking. Because it seems like the get woke, go broke mentality is here to stay with EA/Dice.

Watched a vid from LegacyKillaHD yesterday and he referenced a dude who researched the Dice Team. Like 87% or something had been hired from BF1 and on, and roughly 50% or something were onboarded for development of 2042. Most of the oldblood is gone. Tis the case w/ most of the beloved developers that started something great.

From the trial I've played so far, I think it's a $30 game, and not a $60 game. I'm waiting on a sale to buy it which will prolly be around the time the Winter Steam sale happens.
