Battlefield 4 (Frostbite 3)

No issues at all with the new nVidia drivers. Only one crash last night and it was server side. The premium will get you a few xp boosts and some other cosmetic things like camo's etc... Most importantly premium gets you all the upcoming maps early.

Not really, and this is after having purchased the digital deluxe version myself. $10 for 3 gold battlepacks is quite steep. The only reason I could see it being worth it would be if you had decent luck with 100/200% XP boosts to smooth the curve until you unlock everything.

Gametrailers is usually pretty spot on. If the regular game lives up to my experiences in beta (haven't had time to play yet), then I completely agree with a 9.5.

I got fuckin rocked last night. I just couldn't break into the top 10 in any of the 7 or 8 games I played last night. I was barely a 1 k/d ratio. I'm going to chalk it up to guns and damn good players. That's the ticket.

Now. That flooded map is fuckin AWESOME!!! The rooftop combat is insane. I mean it has everything you could ask for in a map. Close space combat. Long range combat. Plenty of cover, destruction, boats, tanks, cats and dogs living together! Mass hysteria!

That Obliteration is a helluva game mode. It reminds me of the escort mode in Half Life.

The railroad yard map, once you learn it, I can see being intense as fuck.

EDIT" Them adding the AA tanks is HUGE on these maps. Thank goodness. Because there are some guys that are crazy good in those choppers.

Singleplayer seems even more generic mil shooter than last years

I'll still finish it, but mostly because my first foray into MP ended up with a CTD in under 5 minutes, which is confusing because in 10 hours of beta I didn't crash once.

HTKMyst add me if you want to get some games in. I will be on and off all day.

The tank AA guns need to be severely nerfed. They are overpowered as shit.

And the attack copters weren't OP? I mean christ...a GOOD pilot was game changing. A great pilot was insta win. When dudes are going 40-0, you need some severe changes there. Especially city maps. Christ dudes are maneuvering the copters between buildings like they are playing a game of Super Mario.

Love the part around 55 seconds in with the ATV!

Most multiplayer servers were a laggy mess last night. That did not stop me from having a blast and getting rank 11. I played all the maps and I think the only one I didn't really enjoy to much was dawnbreaker. Can't put my finger on it but the layout just didn't jive with me, and not being able to take the middle bridge cap from below doesn't mesh with the way 99% of the way flags work on every other map.

Well shit looks like I might have to break down and buy this , been a while since played something besides an MMO for the PC and have a high end rig so should be able to run it well.

Couple questions ,

1= Amazon easiest/best place to buy it currently ?

2=Any of you playing it every had the queasiness from other FPS but doing ok in it ? As in I never had a problem with 1942/DC/BF2 etc , nor many other FPS like Tribes and so on. But certain ones like HL2 and Defiance etc make me want to hurl. Don't know if it's a PoV thing or what , but wondering if anyone else similar can say that BF4 seems ok to them ?

This will sound silly, but if I was on a server that was pinging at 15ms lets say. I was rubber banding. Go to a 90ms server it was perfect. Go figure.

Yeah it's really server dependent. I notice 64 man servers tend to be worse than say 32 man. I am thinking it is more on the server side anyways, will be nice when they patch it, should be as solid as BF3 then.

I just got it from Amazon and it was pretty damn flawless. I was going to buy through the EA store but it charges me in Euros (I'm stationed in Turkey).

for 1. amazon should send you instantly a key if you buy pc digital download, also origin will be instant. Dunno if there are any discounts atm. Some people were complaining that GMG has stopped sending out keys.

2. you can try changing the FOV, its an in game setting, that usually fixes most peoples quesiness problems.


Has anyone won on the Rush / 2 bombs maps when your team is on assault? Thats the one map that seems ridiculously skewed towards one side, whenever I'm on defense I always win really fast, a few people just hanging back in vehicles and big guns can kill off massive swarms of people.
