How is this supposed to compare to BF3, considering that game didn't come out that long ago? I know it's supposed to have commander mode but what else?

Yeah, BF3 launch was pretty good compared to the beta. Except that whole flashlights of doom shit.

To me it actually seems the stuff loads faster, but maybe I am wrong. I can tell the different in some of the area as far as graphics, some of it seems the same though.

need a sequel to bad company 2 with it's fully destructible environments.
Still, I'm going to play it.

This map gets pretty fucking trashed by the end. I'd love to see what other maps are like.

Anyone getting this weird bug? I tried to google it but didn't have much luck.
Basically I started getting a random infantry bug where the resolution is very distorted and looks like i'm running 50mph down a narrow tunnel. However in vehicles etc its perfectly fine. I updated to nvidia's latest beta drivers and issue persists. I should note when i first started playing beta today it was fine.

I think you can still repair helicopters if you are sitting as a passenger... fucking dumb.

Eh, that's part of the charm of Battlefield though. You can get up to some pretty crazy shenanigans

I think it's worth downloading and trying out. The helicopter combat is something else entirely, not only does it control more like Bad company 2 but weaving in between skyscrapers to avoid missiles while peppering soldiers with missiles on the ground is pretty bad ass. There really wasn't much in the way of building cover for helicopters in BF3 so it's a very welcome change.

Did medpacks change? It feels like it isn't something you huddle around and it heals everyone in the area...feels like an old school medpack you have to run over.

Also really fun...if a team mate is sitting on one of the glass panes on the roof...shoot around him. Hearing my friend go "wtf!" in skype never got old

I have put 100's upon 100's of hours into BF3, but playing BF4 feels like shit. Instead of taking BF3 and beefing up the graphics a bit and adding mechanics, it's like a whole different feel to the engine. I don't know how to explain it other than it's like going from CS to CoD in regards to movement, speed, aiming, etc. Also it's buggy and sloppy as fuck. I understand it's beta, and maybe I'm spoiled but BF3 has always been pretty much solid and bug free, but this feels like an alpha game. The graphics look worse than BF3, the map just seems barren, lifeless, and unimmersive. And there is things like no recoil on guns, buggy as hell jumping etc, broken glass looks like shit and low res textures everywhere mixed with highres ones, and I could go on and on.

This was a day 1 purchase of 2 copies for me before, but now I am very worried. This shit is 3 weeks out, and unless this is a build from like 2 months ago, it is going to be unpolished as hell. I'm gonna give it some more playtime over the next few weeks and see if maybe it will click for me, but at this point it just feels like a massive downgrade from BF3 in most ways, with some "levolution" of 1 single destructible building.

One thing I suggest everyone get is the nvida beta drivers, helps allot.

But yeah this game is very buggy right now for something that will be released in 3 weeks.

They still heal everybody around them, the medpacks healing range is just a whole lot smaller

It's nothing compared to how buggy the BF3 beta was, and that shipped in pretty decent condition. Caspain Border was borderline unplayable when they opened it up. Even Metro had huge problems, they had to remove terrain deformation and stuff from it and I don't think they ever brought it back.

Make or break for me will be the maps. if this is the best of them then I am worried, because I am not a big fan of this map. The gameplay I really like compared to BF3. I could see this being everything BF3 was supposed to be
