Ran into my first SRM carrier a couple hours ago. That was a rude shock! Thank god I was mostly behind a rock! Soooo many SRM 6's!

Ran into my first Goliath tank on the next mission. Boom, headshot on my heaviest mech. Fortunately it was me, rather than my other pilots so I didnt lose anybody. 128 days is a long time looking at that hospital ceiling, but payroll gotta be met so missions go on! Thank mechagodzilla for my centurion missile boat (Lrm 5, 2 lrm 10's) to whittle down the enemy in that mission for the win. The damage to my other 3 mechs was pretty light, like 10 days total. Repairs keep pushing my blackjack refit back- that thing may never be finished! :p

Doh, didnt realize until launching with a 6 flamer firestarter that.... they have ammo. I dont think I've seen additional flamer ammo you can add either.

Fucking panther is the black knight. Trying to let it. 15structure on one leg, every side torso/arm/other leg gone. He's just the smidgeon of leg, 5 center torso structure, and a damaged head left.....

Welp, I just got my ass stomped (not really) by three 65 ton mechs and a 50 ton mech. Started off the mission easy enough. One 65 ton and an 80 Bulldog and Striker. I don't even remember what type of mech it was. So, I'm about halfway through kicking this mech's ass, when all of a sudden I see a ton of missiles coming at me. Like 60, at least fired from two separate guys. I figure, "Okay, well, once this guy goes down, they won't be able to see me any more... It'll be cool, right?" Nope, then they had sensor lock.

All in all, I defeated a Catapult 1C (that's where the majority of the missiles were coming from), a Jagermech (where the rest of the missiles were coming from), and Thunderbolt. That's after killing a 65 ton mech, a Bulldog (which is now something akin to the gum on the bottom of my mechs shoe), and a Striker. 65 + 65 + 50 + 65 = 245.

I beat it with a Griffon (Glitch is a badass), a Hunchback 4P (the one with all the lasers), Centurion, and a Catapult. And not the cool kind'a Catapult either, the one with the dual PPC's. 55 + 60 (I think?) + 50 + 65 = 230. The only person to get killed was in the Hunchback. But that damned Catapult took a beating.

For anybody new to the game... I would suggest going up the Guts tree, because I know that you're most likely not gonna move. If you don't move in this game, and you don't have the Bulwark talent, this is going to be an extremely frustrating game for you.

Thank you. I didn't know this either and my SRM Centurion has a Flamer just finished install with no ammo. I think I will swap it out for a MG, I've heard good things.

It uses 6 ammo that it comes with mounted, just it looks like you cant stock extra ammo on the mech. my issues is especially on a light, if you dont get them shutdown, they just take some structure and vent most of it and still take some shots etc.

Getting really fucking aggravated with these escort quests. Even positioning where the spawns are and trying to mass knock them down. Essentially on the first move of their lrm 10 medium, they fire and kill an apc.... So gay.

Sounds like poor AI. From the point of view of the pilot of the enemy mechs the convoy escort is the threat, not the convoy. Once the escort has been taken out I can destroy the convoy at my leisure. My objective should be to survive my mission, not kamikaze just to make the other guy fail his.

Lol, then somehow my blackjack kicks a vindicator in the head blowing up the cockpit not just killing pilot. (taller).

All this Battletech talk makes me want to fire Mechcommander 2 back up. Just wish LRMs weren't so absurdly overpowered (and borderline mandatory).

If you get a mech warrior with the evasive ability (or better yet a brawler MechWarrior) and toss him a brawler mech, and sprint up to that LRM carrier, that LRM carrier's in trouble. Just make sure that your team isn't far behind, because I can guarantee you that the LRM carrier's team isn't far behind.

That LRM carrier is in trouble your right, the turn after he spawns and fires I'm annihilating him, but it doesn't change he can be 2 spaces away from my mech, a nice lrm range 8-10 from another, and he'll still charge past to suicide launch on the APC before getting gang banged by me.

None can stand before the might of Fyodor Kerensky, a mysterious exile from the deep periphery who commands his forces as if it were his birthright.

Headcanon is fun.

I know some folks like to hit "max armor" on the mechs when they get them, are you finding the trade off ok? It pulls a lot of armor off the legs and divvies it out to other spots, are you getting legged much?

Looks like no Splat Cats hmm

?? Max armor should max legs too if you have the tonnage. My goal has been usually to max armor (manually often) then subtract some from the back/legs or unused arm as needed if I would get good benefit out of an extra .5 - 1.5 tons.

I guess I meant when you start out or assemble a chassis, the stock setup will, upon hitting "max armor" redistribute from legs to other places. Try it out.
