I'm finally caving and buying a phone, so I narrowed my choices down to either a Samsung Note 20 Ultra or an S22 Ultra off ebay.
No fucking way am I spending any more when you're only choices* are (1) Samsung, (2) Google (lol no), or Apple (I used revanced because fuck ads), and phones are too skinny instead of the old wide thicc boys for usable screen real estate when you're not rotating the phone.
The trouble is that Samsung are greedy cunts and gutted the 1440p out of the s21-23 non-Ultras, the S24, and even the S25. I could sum up the last four years of phone "innovation" as:
>minimum $800
>1% better performance
>takes 8k videos
>but has a poverty 1080p screen
>120hz over higher resolution because phones gave people ADHD and they'd rather scroll like a spastic instead of taking their ritalin
>Made for retarded fake gaymers who could have bought a Playstation or Nintendo or just not played fake games at all to fuck up the video game industry even more with their faggot taste and low standards
>better cameras that AI will glaze over anyways to unfuck the average dumpty's sub-6 ass for pictures they'll never look at again anyways
>oh yeah, the moon is now AI, too, so fuck you and your 8k camera
>X years of updates that may or may not brick you stupid phone**
