High chance it'll be in the directors cut. He has 2 separate movies he shot for Bladerunner 2049-- incidentally because he wasn't sure of which stories he wanted in the movie, and because he likes spending money.
There's a 3.5 hour cut Villenvueve confirmed a while back, but whether that is the cut that will be released as a future director's cut is not confirmed. I think the studio has a lot of say on that.
