That's not the author of the book, that's a wow developer wannabe.

Lots of fans wanted to be part of creating the future of the game they love. Sadly, Blizzard mostly hired the ones who wanted the least amount of pay.

Dont know if the racism or complete lack of understanding human history is worse.

Orcs and the like are clearly based off Vandals(ya know the people whose appetite for mayhem was so prolific we now use it to describe mayhem; vandalism), Huns(ya know the people who dealt the death blow to the Roman Empire) etc. If anything its culturally appropriating the "abilities" of whites and ascribing them to blacks as being able to organize into such higher level entities.

Its becoming clear in the age of social media ALOT of people just want to be part of a community and have as much fame/power in said community. They dont give two shits about what the actual community is centered around or for they just want to be apart of the group.

Its why so much of everything turns to shit nowadays. Its not about being good stewards of xyz, its about sucking xyz dry for personal gain.

They say that they want a diverse workforce but then they only hire people who can put together a corporate resume, have regular work experience and can move to California below living wage.

Guess what? People who play WoW 24/7, remember all the lore and think up ideas for what's next don't have the time to get work experience and network into a good resume and interview.

So they end up with diversity program hires living off their parents/partners income who have barely played the game.

I took an art history class in college. It was taught by the stereotypical sjw shitlib, endless snide comments about how poor and stupid minorities are, how bad dubya was etc. Well this guy spends a week covering middle eastern/islamic art. While going over it he constantly mentioned how westerners possessing non western artifacts is an example of westerners being bad and people in the middle east remember that, and thats why they hate westerners today. Focused a lot on the reconquest of Spain, and how Christian conquerors desecrating Mosques in lands they conquered was the absolute worst.

This motherfucker had the gall to admonish western civilization about desecrating mosques in Spain and capturing artifacts while in the very next breath showing off the Hagia Sophia as a mosque. The fact that the Ottomans built their civilization on the corpse of the forbearer of western civilization which it killed then desecrated the pinnacle of western culture/engineering up until that time was never mentioned by him. It was literally as if the Ottoman Empire and their blood thirsty conquest of civilizations never happened.
