I dunno if I just suck or what, but I swear this game has some shit ass netcode in regular multiplayer. I play hardcore mode mainly for fast gun leveling, so ttk is literally 0. 1 bullet wins. Every single person that I see, it's like I'm dead in 1 millisecond. Usually before I even have time to get my cursor half way to them. It's not just here or there, but like every encounter. I still maintain around 1-2 kd ratio, but it's just nuts. In other FPS I can usually get like 2-3 kd ratio and sometimes higher. Maybe I'm just getting old, or need ritalin like the kids now days, but fuck it gets old. It's like when my screen shows them coming around a corner, on their screen they have been there for 1/4 of a second already. Anyone else notice this? Maybe ping is just a lot more noticable in these super twitch shooters.

Finally got the Outlaw operator mod. Don't fucking do it. It's a cool mod but the gun is complete shit. Just, totally awful. And not even consistent. Headshots are oneshot kills, but body shots with high caliber are 130 damage except sometimes they're a full 150?!?!? And I'd get a one-shot kill medal, but not headshot medal. Then I'd fucking shoot people right in their neck and do 130 damage. Pretty sure they broke something with the patch.

Gun game is fun and infuriating. Especially losing because of utter bullshit like being top damage but getting 6th place (you're welcome, everyone else!)

Also hit reg seems weird:

So somehow he fucking cha-cha slides and the first one misses. It's a Koshka so it didn't hit. If that was a paladin he'd be dead. So you can chalk it up to slow bullet time I guess. But the next shot INSTANTLY HITS THE WALL BEHIND HIM AND CAUSES SPARKS BUT DOESN'T HIT HIM. Like, what the fuck is going on?

I suspect a lot of it is down to map design and map size. Maps are generally too small, everywhere has four or five arcs of fire and all the maps have a small number of choke points. It forces a lot of frantic run and gun where you have zero chance of covering your arcs.

First time I'd picked up a CoD in a few years. Last one I played four months solid, this one I'm done with.

What does your ping sit around? I find anything over 50 in hardcore is noticeable. Obviously you want to shoot for the 30 range. Ping is such a determining factor when TTK is low. The best I've ever been was in CS 1.3 and 1.5 back on these servers that were hosted in Orlando. My ping there was 10. I mean it was ridiculous the feats you could pull off in scoutknivez and awp matches that to any person looking on seems impossible. For instance that video a page back or so about the guy that got banned then unbanned, I guarantee his ping sits lower then 30.

I'll have to check when I get home, but I'm pretty sure it's above 50. I know in other games like R6 Siege its around 100 ping. So that's probably whats fucking me I guess.

Well reading into this a while back (Back in the BF3 days) there is different types of net code too. I forget the terms, but its shit like running behind cover on your screen and getting shot through a wall, while on his screen you were still in the open.

Just this week I signed up for Origin Prime and started up BF4 for shits and giggles and its the same shit. You swear you hit the fucker with a full clip, but he notices you and you get dead instead. Tons of instances like that.

Before this I was a hardcore Destiny 2/1 player and shit like this just did not happen all that often. Maybe its the higher TTK times in that game that made this not as noticeable, but whatever they did they did better.

best tip for multiplayer: just back out of the game and requeue if you find yourself going up against shitty netcode players or someone who is kicking your ass, lobby hopping has worked like 90% of the time for me when I feel frustrated at my shots or how shitty my team is. still run into the occasional god who bunny hops and always survives 1v1 but otherwise it is generally ok.

mercenary TDM is also a good mode, it only allows solo queues so no stacked teams to worry about although thats honestly never been an issue on ps4

still, i think i sorta might like WW2 more than blops4 which is kinda sad. blackout is fun but i can only play 2-3 games before I'd rather just watch a stream than play

lol from reddit, default skin on left p2w "epic" skin on right

The PC players do seem like absolute gods though. PS4 vs PC Fortnite I noticed a definite difference as well, but this is just on another level skill-gap wise.

If someone sees me i'm usually dead within half a second, even in Blackout, not just MP.

Yeah, PC is always harder than console. I think the PC players are jsut in general more dedicated to gaming than the "casual" vast majority of console gamers. BTW what im saying here is all based on PC play.

Im actually looking forward to Battlefield V. Like I said the MP in BO is rage inducing.

LOL, I feel the same way. I get more enjoyment in watching good players than playing myself.

Footsteps are great now. I think they still have the silentish bug sometimes, but otherwise they're like old awareness almost. People not jamming to music can really use their ears to decipher whats going on. Unlocked Ruin today. Didn't even get my melee at the beginning, did it like top 15. Pretty sure the guy I melee'd broke his keyboard. Slamming my balls in a vice to get my friend Seraph currently.

Here's your "testing" for today:

Trading apparently still happens. Would be fine if it didn't happen at like 3 feet.

Teammate disconnected and went to bed. So I kept playing. Got this sweet "Triple" kill.

Then I kept watching randoms in that game.... it paid off.

I also shot a guy out of a helicopter and watched his downed body fall to death, but I forgot to bookmark it. My teammate hit him with a Paladin and I just ABR wing'd him and I watched him fall like 120 feet to his death. Fucking great. Also ABR is an absolute monster gun. Had ABR/SDM in a duo. We got 10/9 kills, I did fucking 2300 damage. Probably 1800 of that or more from just the ABR.

Had to punch someone to death for ruin or just a kill in close combat? I played o so many fps in my years and these skin achiev sure seems like some of the hardest shit ive seen. Feels like ninja gainden all over again.

So responses seem to be all over for this. First you have to get the boxing gloves from Construction/Asylum/Lighthouse. That much is true. Then you just need 1 melee kill and keep the gloves on you after until you win/die. Placement doesn't matter. So people are saying that if you kill some one with a shotgun from < 3meters it'll count. I know for sure meleeing with a weapon out works as that's what I did. The best way to do it seems to be ninebang barrage + brawler for one shot melee kills. Setting that up tactically seems rough. I do not know if you can melee eliminate a downed enemy in duos/squads and get it. I would assume you probably can, but other specialists tags are specifically worded regarding downs/eliminations.

YOU DROPPED THIS:

Also not cheese. This is "testing". Get it right. We didn't even win, we got 3rd! And we only killed one guy from there.

Naa, youre not alone. Not going to publish my age but I was the SH!T back in the COD MW days and the beginning of the BO days, hell even the last COD WW2. Now all of the jet packs, flying around, and bunny hoping has got me frustrated too. I am slow as hell when hitting a target, and these new level players have me dead before I can even see them. I feel like my dad when he picked up the NES/SNES controller to play Super Mario Brothers. I figured id keep playing and it would come back to me, but the game appears to be just to fast for my old age. It probably doesnt help that I play on a 75" screen versus the 40-50" back in the old days, were now I have to continually move my eyes to the minimap to see dots and by the time I look back I am dead.

Started rough today, but got 3 wins by the end. Some shennigans were had. At one point my teammate put 8 cymbal monkeys in a truck and drove it up to a player, but it didn't jihad him like we hoped. Here's some of the good stuffs:

Here's why this has more layers than PUBG and PUBG will never come back:

My teammate died early so I promised him a Tomahawk kill. I got it. I got it on C9Chappie. Chappie was not particularly thrilled about it either.

His reaction. LUL "Pro" teams. We wiped at least 2 of their squad just goofin.

Here's when we decided 1 helicopter wasn't enough. Nor was 2. 3 was good. We flew around for probably a minute over Rivertown before anyone got the stones to shoot at our strike force. AND THEY PAYED DEARLY!

Annnd here's a cheater. If you've wondered if there are cheaters, there are. I've seen probably 3-4 I know of, surely a few I didn't. At least he lost.

Died to that same cheater again. Dude's obviously cheating. So my team and I spectate him, dude has 17 fucking kills, his entire squad was already dead, and he solo wins the game. He's playing with a streamer, I go to his channel and say basically, 'hey bud this dude is cheating just a heads up'. This guy is like "um, do you have proof" so I link that clip. He then says some stuff looks weird but he "misses a lot". He then asks the dude on discord "Hey Cake, are you cheating" *silence* "Hey cake, this guy says you're cheating. Are you?" *3 seconds of silence* "No." "See, he said he's not!"

Then the guy tells me he can't be cheating because there's "no hacks for black ops out. He's checked". Upside Down Fucking Smile
