The real difference for me is 60fps vs 120fps. I got a 120hz monitor a few years ago and noticed the difference instantly. Even moving the mouse across the screen I could tell it was much smoother. It becomes even more clear in fast paced games like Counter-Strike where you have to turn fast.
I think it's easier for me because I remember playing quake 2 on integrated graphics at like 3 fps then buying a voodoo 3 2000 and pissing my pants at the marvel of 60 fps
11/11 on whatever dusty fingerprint smeared piece of shit this HP work monitor is while tabbing quickly over in between waiting on this goddamn software to catch up.
I believe I'm well trained because Doom was capped 35 fps and software Quake1 ran like dogshit and then GLQuake Voodoo was HOLY SHIT and I've never been able/willing to go back.
