At that price it looks really good compared to similar. Any accidents?

Just picked up this Warlock, $572 for 36 months traded in the original mom car I got for my wife that I sacrificed and drove until it was paid off so she could have a Jeep Grand Cherokee because the damn Trax was way to small for our needs but she didn’t listen. At the in-laws for Easter, can throw a rock into Mexico from here damn near.

Interesting. In Houston, all trucks from the big 3 are 15-20% if you want them (except Raptors and TRX). Better quality, design, tech than Nissan and Toyota trucks too. Although, it's a truck state and too many are made each year.

I bought a 2014 F250 for $21,900 with 40K miles. It's at 65K now and it's booking at $30,000.... Totally nuts!

I keep looking at new Rams, but one thing keeps holding me back from getting rid of mine...

Standards are all fun and games until you get stuck in traffic in major cities.

Been there, done that. Used to drive for work. That truck has 212k miles on it.

But, when you live in a frozen shithole, a manual makes it SO much easier to deal with less than ideal driving surfaces. Start to fishtail? Clutch to the floor and it straightens out. I dunno how I can go back to automatic after 20+ years of driving sticks.

You’re just going to have to drive old vehicles then, I’ve driven 8 speeds, 10 speeds and 18 speeds and can float through the gears but I don’t mind the automatics at all in my personal vehicles but I don’t like automatics in cdl required vehicles.

Oh, I'm gonna go back to automatic. It just fucking sucks, and I'm not gonna rush there.

If mine still drives, I'm fucking driving it. After 17 years here, it's starting to get a bit rusty though, heh.

We're down to one stick shift pickup and I won't miss it when it's gone. Letting off the gas in an automatic transmission has a pretty similar effect to hitting the clutch with regard to fishtailing. My favorite thing about the automatic is being able to park on an uneven surface without having to use the parking brake (which always seems to quit working after a while). There are hills everywhere here and having to shut off the engine when you need go get out to check on your positioning backing up to a trailer or whatever gets aggravating.

we should rename it from standard -> "ppl who are bored with driving and need to futz around with the stick"

Just 41 out of the 327 new car models sold in the United States in 2020, or 13%, are offered with a manual transmission, according to data from Edmunds. That is a tremendous drop from less than a decade ago. In 2011, 37% percent came with manuals.

Yeah, I got one of the last manual transmission 1500 series made, I think. I tried to order a 2005 with one, but they stopped making them, so had to settle for a 2004, of which there were 3 left in the country.
