No surprise 3XK is alive, and since seeing the "next week" thing for this episode I was positive it was him. But man that was a good episode. One of the best straight up mystery/police work episodes I can think of. He's latest accomplice was great in the interrogation room. The doc not so much, bit too heavy handed.

At the start of this season some of you were calling for the show to wrap up, some pretty mediocre episodes. These last 3-4 episodes though have been pretty damn great.

This weeks episode was great, but I've got to admit something bothered me. They had almost no artificial/interior lighting in any scene in the police station. Every bit of light was from windows, including the interrogation room. It just seemed... weird.

just a heads up, they redid the episode order

episode 12 is showing jan 6th instead of episode 11
episode 13 is showing on the 13th
episode 11 is showing on the 20th
episode 14 is on the 27th
olympics break

jenny has the baby on the 6th, jackson hunt returns on the 13th, kate and rick "come out" i guess about their engagement publicly on the 20th as they deal with his fame and Finally, kate tries on wedding dresses on the 27th...

Decent episode, though it's Castle so the drama lacks drama when you know they're going to be alright by the end.

Mostly posting to point out that the fire inspector lady was a dead ringer for the pornstar Isis Love. Yeah, I watch too much porn. You're welcome.

imo so so episode. very lacking in the castle/beckett, which was due to when filming nathan was doing the community guest spot, and stana was doing a couple of premieres for cbgb and other things.

this episode was heavy alexis and honestly, i didn't mind it, due to it being the "alexis gets a clue" aspect on her life & Pi.

They really need to stop introducing the killer before the credits. I'm like 85% accurate when guessing who the killer is, because they fucking won't change the damn formula. Of course I don't really watch it for the detective stories, I watch it to see Stana Katic's ass. But still, it'd be nice to be surprised once in a while.

Well it's either that or go with the actor that you recognise from boatloads of shows. In nearly all current procedural cop shows or dramas just pick the most recognisable guest-face and you've got a 90%+ chance of being right

They do tend to go with the first person who shows up and they totally clear/dismiss.

only certain writers on the show do it, about half of the episodes, it's one of the first people you see, i think it would be more interesting for more "red herrings" for the show, but alas no.

OH BTW monday's episode is postponed until Feb 3rd... apparently the screener got such good reactions they moved it to sweeps week. now the question is,,,does Canada push it back a week...

Wasn't Alexis supposed to be taking a smaller role this season? Seems like she's been a major part of more episodes than usual if anything. Could just be projecting based on this episode though.

I think you might just be noticing how hard they have to try to incorporate her. It doesn't feel natural.

they are trying to make it a more ensemble show not focused just on beckett and castle thus the more focus on individual chars- and yes alexis's "story" this season has been awful. she just acted like an idio

oh ABC/ITUNES screwup over in umm europe- Dressed to kill- episode 14 is out now if you know where to look.

This episode really bugged me. Accepting the dress should result in the case getting thrown out and Beckett getting fired immediately.

Even from someone she has a prior relationship with, after the case is solved and the person has been cleared?

Episode aired 6 days ago. Fuck spoiler tags.

That makes it worse - lead detective meets privately with murder suspect who is old buddy - suspect is cleared, shortly afterward detective receives super expensive gift from ex-suspect. NY cops are banned from receiving gifts from anyone for doing their job, for just that reason.

Good episode last night. Saw where it was going, but it is good to see that things are progressing on that front. Bout damn time.
