Steeler fans would be happy to send Tomlin's ass to UT. He could have some awesome postgame comments when you lose constantly. And ban pingpong from the locker room to show those guys how to win (he just did this today).

Please Texas make it happen!

Lot of big games this weekend

#2 Oregon @ #16 Washington
#25 Mizzou @ #7 Georgia
#17 Florida @ #10 LSU
#12 Oklahoma vs Texas(Red River Shootout)

I think the 2 SEC games will be close, the others maybe not so much

Meh, it's kinda like Ohio St - Michigan or Florida State - Miami. Even if one(or both) of the teams aren't ranked, it's still a big game.

It will be over by the second quarter. Not a big game. It is a decent team v a team with a qb that might have downs.

You're confusing "good game" with "big game". It might be a terrible game to watch for anyone other than Oklahoma fans, but it's a big game on a national level no matter what, it's one of the top 5 rivalries in college football. I hate Texas, and I hate Oklahoma, yet this is the 1 game a year that I don't miss involving them.

The #1 receiver for LSU has been wearing a boot and walking on crutches all week.

And Georgia is missing 8 players due to injury. So yeah, those SEC games are going to be real close I think, the home teams are battered & bruised.

I have to say though, I like LSU's chances against anyone now that they actually have a QB who can make plays. That's the one thing they have been missing for quite a while now, probably since JaMarcus.

For me, big game is a game with two good teams that is highly anticipated. That are tons of great rivalries that nobody outside of the fan bases care about. This is just a rivalry game tomorrow that isn't interesting outside of the end of Mack Brown career story.

Not that Arizona is any good but it somewhat boggles the mind that Kiffin was claiming the QB and OL couldn't throw the ball down the field and then here in the first game it seems to be easily possible. Oh well, on to next year.

Haha I love how people think Tennessee and Virginia Tech will sell out Bristol.
I absolutely can't speak for VT, but for Tennessee, it's not that much of a stretch. The bulk of their fans are in Middle Tennessee (Nashville) which is already a 3-4 drive from Knoxville, another two at that point won't make that much of a difference, especially for a game that promises 160k people..

However... at the end of the day it's a race track and even the first row of seats are going to be an extremely long way from the field. For that to even work, they will have to bust out two Dallas Cowboy sized jumbotrons on each side just for people to actually see the game. To me that would be more of a turn off then the drive. It's too bad because the sheer volume of 160k fans in a stadium not as spread out would be insane. I know Bristol is a small track etc, but it's still huge for a football game.

I think it might have gone over well a few years ago when getting a ticket to a Bristol race was like winning the lottery. The waiting list was approaching 15-20 years and people were willing their tickets to their kids. Then people might have been attracted just to get into Bristol on top of the game being there, might have drawn people who may not have been fans of either school. Now they can't give away tickets after they reconfigured the track.

Made official today LSU will play Wisconsin at Lambeau field to start the 2016 season. Not a fan of it, rather just go with a series at each. It's starting to irk fans that we open every season on the road at "neutral sites" and never get a series out of it. Jerry World this year, next year we do Reliant Stadium in Houston, then Lambeau field etc....

UT/OU is huge for Texas...if it's a full blown embarrassing blowout it might seal the deal on a new regime next year.
The new regime is already a sealed deal. This game means nothing for Texas outside of the typical like to beat the biggest rival. It means a lot to Mack's legacy though.

Nope. We're winning the Big 12, and the first step comes tomorrow on that Red River. Gig Them Hard, Horns!

Just saw a stat on College Gameday that over the last 3 years, Mack Brown has a lower win % for games played inside the state of Texas than games played outside the state of Texas. Yikes
