All of that success running the football and they throw 3 shitty passes and hand the ball back to Manziel to lose the game. I dunno if the awful looking injury took the wind out of them...but that's a horrible way to piss a game away.

Mack Brown makes his pitch to save his job.

"We've won five out the last nine [against Oklahoma] now for those of who are counting."

Mack isn't coming back. He does that kind of stuff all the time. All week he talked about being 4-4 in the last 8 games. When you point out the 5 straight losses he replies the series is about streaks.

I'm no Longhorns fan (but not a hater either), and I really have no dog in the hunt.... However, it seems to me that Mack Brown is that coach where it'll take an epic meltdown two years in a row before they boot him, and it was funny watching Lou Holtz jump to his defense saying it was crap that they fire a guy after one bad season. He coaches in a state where 5 stars grown on trees you senile piece of shit, of course he should be on the hot seat. However, he seems to have friends where a coach needs to have friends: with the boosters. And yesterday did not help the cause at all.

This is the fourth straight meltdown year. A new AD will be hired in the next two months. They are going through this process because it has already been decided Mack is gone. Beating OU doesn't change anything, nothing will, that train already left the station. It just means Mack can leave on a high instead of being vilified.

Whatsa, pretty ironic you are trying to troll about Mack when you are stuck with the poor man's version of Mack. Good thing the injury excuse will give ole Richt another pass.

Here's the hit that put our QB out for the year with a separated shoulder. Ball was long gone, no flag on the play though. Definitely a borderline late hit. By the time he was thrown down, a coach on the sideline 15 yards downfield had already caught the ball.

Definitely disappointing, we were looking at a 10-2, possibly 11-1 type season :/ The rest of our games against ranked opponents were all at home, Florida, South Carolina, and A&M. Our only road games remaining are Kentucky and Ole Miss. Season was setting up REAL well

I may be crazy but I thought Franklin's replacement did not look all that bad and held up in a hostile environment. Although I'd love for him to suck against Tennessee

And I know Texas has been down since their last trip to the National Champs, but it could be worse... as a Tennessee/Purdue fan, believe me it could be WAY worse. I do think it's time for him to go, because with the homegrown talent pool there, double digit win seasons should honestly be the norm there. If the AD is getting the boot, then I'd say they do want changes. I was just under the understanding the Good Ole Boy network was going strong there with the AD, the boosters, and Brown.
