NCAA is the most worthless, toothless, biggest piece of shit sports organization on the face of this earth. No surprises here, but its still absolutely ridiculous.

Bruce Pearl lies about a Barbecue? 3 year show cause. Frank Haith instructs an assistant to siphon money to a player? 5 game suspension.

Emmert and co. need to go based on how bungled this whole process was, forget the shitty little "punishment". Miami probably got off light because they threatened to sue the doors off of the NCAA if the hammer really tried to fall due to all of the irregularities during the investigation. I don't think they have even an ounce of credibility left.

They sure nailed the fuck out of those guys for selling their gold football pants and getting a free tattoo, though. I know I slept better after that program was slapped down.

Fucking hilarious. Ohio State, USC get shat all over, but Oregon, Alabama, Miami, and Money Badger get to walk all over with money raining down from the fucking heavens.

How to play college football:

Rule 1 - NEVER self impose anything.

Rule 2 - DENY every allegation and demand the media stop asking questions, ala Nick Saban. Unlike Gene "press conference for every update" Smith from OSU.

Rule 3 - If allegation is sticking, take care of it in house, then refuse to talk about it. Like Nick Saban on his coach paying his best player to play, then suspending him for 2 games.

Rule 4 - REFUSE cooperation at all costs. Miami, Bama, and Texas A&M basically told the NCAA to pound sand and prove the allegations, which the NCAA could not do despite overwhelming circumstantial evidence.

Rule 5 - NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, hire an investigator, report his findings, and accept the NCAA penalty. Ask PSU. If you are dumb enough to do this, make sure you ask for those sanctions to be reduced.

Is LSU actively trying to hire Saban at the moment?
No but those rumors pop up every 3 months at every school that is looking for a coach or might even be looking for a coach.

When she was in Baton Rouge all the news media ran the same sorts of articles.

Next we'll start seeing articles about a plane owned by XX who is a alum of YY school who flew into ZZ airport to meet with Saban or UT or whatever.

Has LSU BMDs had confirmed conversations with Saban's agent gauging his interest?

I'm not saying his wife may or may not being in Austin (still just a rumor) is or isn't a big deal. My point is there are other confirmed contacts between Texas and camp Saban so if his wife was in Austin it has much more significance than her being somewhere else, like Baton Rouge.

Obviously, I want Saban to be our HC next year. Every program in the country wants that. There are "insiders" that adamantly stand by Saban to Texas is going to happen. I hope it happens but I will believe it when I see it. At this point I don't know who I want out of the realistic candidates, I just don't want to be disappointed. If Baylor rips through the real portion of their schedule like they have been ripping apart their preseason, Art Briles is growing on me.

If Bama wins the MNC this year (duh) I think there is at least a 50/50 chance he goes. Seriously. Nothing left to prove, and I have no doubt he's ready to leave that piece of shit state. If they don't win it this season, I have a hard time seeing him leave - he's a pretty big ego-maniac, and I'm sure he'll want to go out on top.

Miami has to have the worst fan base in college football. Number 7 in the nation and can't manage to fill even half of their stadium up.

I'm glad LSU won't be on TV tonight. #13 and if we filled up half the stadium it would be unexpected.

Because their entire fanbase is a bunch of hoodlums who can't afford to be off foodstamps let alone go to games. Not to mention none of their fans actually live in Miami.
