Whether you like or hate the team, their band always come up with some pretty cool shit.
The Ohio State University Marching Band Performs their Hollywood Blockbuster Show - YouTube

They do theme songs from Super Man, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Pirates of the Carribean as the band forms figures that move across the field.
That is cool. Our band never gets to have nice things because CBS keeps asking them to stop playing X song. So far I think we're up to 4 banned songs now. Last game ever on pay per view this last weekend before the SEC network so they played a bunch of the old banned ones.

Speaking of bowl games. The only bowl game I would have like to gone to but never have is the Rose bowl. I guess all that's pretty much over now.

I hate pretty much every city, but New Orleans is fucking amazing.
New Orleans is a cesspool of grime, crime, poverty, corruption, and just about any biblical plague you can think of. A hurricane should hit that shit hole once a year until the people smart enough to evacuate never go back and the ones stupid enough to stay are wiped out. I don't care if you're in CBD, French Quarter, Carrollton, Gretna, Kenner, or anywhere within a 5 mile radius. You have about an equal chance of being mugged, stabbed, or catching a disease the CDC once thought eradicated.

In short, it is quite possibly the worst City on the planet and I go back every chance I get.

NSFW: It's Meltdown Time! - Roll 'Bama Roll

Some of the twitter comments are pretty hilarious

Mizzou fans:
"I hope a comet comes in and just sends everyone into oblivion. I'm done with this planet."
"I have to go replace a door tomorrow. Thanks, Mizzou. If my neighbor's dog so much as whimpers tonight I'm going to bury it alive."

Tennessee Fans:
"HAHAHA YOU DIDN'T COVER THE LINE IN THE FIRST QUARTER!"
"I'm gonna file a complaint on Nick Saban for bullying"

Nebraska fans:
"I wonder if there are any more Bo tapes to leak?"

"Hello defense my old friend...
Driving me to drink again...
Because the football's slowly creeping
into our endzone while I'm weeping
And the vision, of Cobb running in my brain,
still remains,
within the sight, of defense..."

This group of Alabama fans resents those who actually attended the school and calls them, "elitists." (To be an "elitist" in Alabama you have to graduate high school, avoid having kids until you're 22, and shop at Target instead of Wal-Mart. Seriously, that's an Alabama elitist.). Auburn fans, a distinct minority in the state, are really nothing like Alabama fans. That's because by and large Auburn fans are associated in some way with Auburn. 95% of the idiots in Alabama root for the Crimson Tide.
This is very true and why we've always had the joke: What do Auburn fans and Alabama fans have in common? Neither of us went to Alabama. It is seriously more challenging to find an Alabama fan that went to the school than not. But I believe that is the case with most "State" schools and correct me if the experience isn't the same. When I lived in Baton Rouge the number of LSU fans that I met who actually attended LSU was tiny. Arkansas seems a little more closely half and half, but it is prevalent with such a small state population here.

Probably several factors at play. Alabama and Louisiana(along with Mississippi) have some of the lowest % of college degrees in their population of any state. And, there are no pro teams in Alabama for people to align their allegiances to, so the University of Alabama is the only choice of people with no actual ties to any other organization. It's easy to hitch yourself to a winning bandwagon when you have no reason to have ties to anything else.

Here in KC, the worst of the mouth-breathing mongoloid fans tend to lean towards the Chiefs, rather than a college team. The majority of Mizzou fans are fans because they went there. Because honestly, would you actually choose to be a fan of a school/team that is infinitely more likely to disappoint you than make you happy if you had a choice?

Although, there are a lot of bandwagon kansas basketball fans that never went to ku. And they tend to be the absolute worst kind of fan, because they will claim to be a kansas basketball fan, while picking a different school to be a football fan of(usually kstate or Nebraska). There's not much worse than a ku basketball/Nebraska football fan. And there are a LOT of them around here.

There can be a lot of factors that go into who you cheer for or support. I went to the U of Minnesota but don't go out of my way to watch or cheer for them. This is pretty typical for most of my college friends as the games when we lived on campus were at the Metrodome and fuck having to get over there in the middle of winter for a game. Not to menion they've sucked ever since segregation stopped as a football school. That doesn't mean I don't hope they don't do well, I do but I just could care less if they don't.

Since college I've relocated to Los Angeles, my sister and half my wife's family graduated from USC so even though I didn't attend there personally it's close enough to where I have no issue rooting for them. Doesn't hurt that they've been very good the majority of the time I've lived in LA but even now that they aren't good I still find myself watching and caring about their games more than almost any other sport.

With that said, seeing a game at the Rose Bowl was probably the most picturesque setting to watch I game I've ever been to. I wouldn't doubt there are UCLA fans that just go to games because of where the game is played and have nothing to do with the school.

I did not attend a college that had a football team, basketball was the big one. But since my Mother and Uncle both attended tOSU I tend to cheer for the Buckeyes overall. Even though I just love college football in general. But I will say, there are a lot of Buckeye fans that fit the bill perfectly like some of those 'Bama fans in that link.

I am a big LSU fan and did not attend LSU, but have a BS and MS from another school. I grew up in a suburb of Baton Rouge and attended games starting at around age 5. Most people who share the suite with us however did attend LSU. I know probably 2,000 people who have season tickets and I would say 80% attended LSU and the other 20% transferred here for a job at a chemical plant or refinery and have a degree from somewhere else. My dad is a huge LSU fan and supporter and does not have a college degree. He first started goign to games in the early 60's. Sometime in the early 80's it turned into more of a business venture for him and entertaining customers.

On a big game weekend probably close to 25% of the LSU fans in the stadium are driving in from TX for the game, which is another reason why 2:30 games are a pretty low turnout for us. People don't want to get up early and drive to the game and have no tailgate time before kickoff.

I am more of a baseball fan and attend more baseball games and maybe 50% of the people I know who have season tickets are LSU graduates.

I guess LSU is going to start the push for a new AD pretty soon. He is pushing for a raise in ticket prices next year and has already given his spiel to the board of supervisors. Next years home games are Sam Houston, UL-Monroe, Miss. St., New Mexico St., Kentucky, Ole Piss, and Alabama. Not onlythat stadium capacity is going up next year. Tough sell, not to mention LSU looks to be headed to a Peach bowl (again) at best and possibly a trip to Shreveport for a bowl game this year.

Hard to justify an increase in ticket prices with that home schedule and the problems they have had at home games this year including at least 3 major snafu's that required the AD to write a public apology for them. I'm not sure why LSU hired the AD from Duke who was involved in the Lacrosse deal a few years ago but we have him.

Yeah, Mizzou suffers a bit from the same driving issues on game day. I'd guess that at least 50% of the fans in the stadium are from Kansas City or St Louis. Both are a 2 hour drive from Columbia, so 11am games really suck. You have to get up at 5am on a Saturday and start driving to be able to tailgate for a couple hours. And I don't know about you, but I'm rarely in the mood for a beer at 7am. We have great attendance for any game from 2:30 on, but 11am games are brutal.

Well if nothing else, Mizzou is doing it's part in joining the SEC by bringing 2 large TV markets with it

ESPN2 televised its most-viewed game of the 2013 season on Saturday, averaging 3,051,000 viewers and a 1.8 HH US rating for South Carolina's 27-24 win against Missouri.

It's also ESPN2's most-viewed regular-season college football game since Sept. 9, 2012 (Georgia at Missouri averaged 4,119,000 viewers and a 2.4 HH US rating)
Would be nice if the 2 most viewed games in the past 2 years on ESPN2 weren't both Mizzou losses though :/ I guess bad press is better than no press? Blech.

Morning drunk is best drunk.

Went to Ohio State and Cincinnati. I'm a bigger UC fan because I have always loved UC games. Something magical about Nippert stadium, where Cincy has played football since 1901. An ancient battlefield tucked into the heart of 100+ years of progress and a century's worth of architectural styles crowding in on it.
