As good as OSU looked tonight, I don't think for a second they are good enough to beat a team like Bama. Maybe the teams just under them, but we were much better in 11'. Defense this year is good though - hard to be pissed/annoyed considering where the program was to where it is now. 2 BCS games in 3 years (assuming we beat OU, which I think we will) is pretty great in itself. Fun year in CFB, with Bama being the only "great" team. A playoff this year would have been pretty allsome. How pissed are you if you are an Okie St fan?
you're 2 inexplicable losses against Iowa State(2011) and West virginia(this year) from playing for a national title twice in the last 3 years.
I am torn on the iron bowl because there is still the slim chance that if Saban wins it all again he might retire and return to his home planet.Glad to see Auburn is getting board support for the big game this season finally. When the true champion of the Big 10 is crowned and Auburn rises to the top of the SEC we'll have a great game out in Cali.
Crowd already showing up on the Plains for next weekend's pre-National Championship game.
I heard it was Muschamp.I still think Broyles is the next Texas coach
damn why you so mad broDifferent year, different team, same story. Let's see which team the ESPNSEC narrative decides to froth up next:
'Auburn has made a great case for #3' gurgglebuglbugrlgelgurrglelguburgle.
Yes, let the hate flow through you.Baylor can still make it to Glendale, AZ, but we have to put our faith in Stoops now. And win our last 2 games, of course. Boomer Sooner?? I hate saying that.
Please excuse me if I'm obnoxious this week.... kind of excited.College and Magnolia_sl said:You know what I'm proud of? Historically, when Auburn's football team has been at its worst, its answered with shock and awe. It really took Pat Dye two seasons to turn Auburn around, but when he did, he defeated Paul "Bear" Bryant in Bryant's final Iron Bowl. When Pat Dye let things get out of hand, Terry Bowden reeled off 20 consecutive victories to start his Auburn career. When Bowden's train derailed, Thomas Hawley Tuberville marched in and had Auburn in the SEC Championship Game by his second season. When Tuberville had proven he didn't have the desire to recruit against Nick Saban, Gene Chizik (Gene Chizik!) assembled an amazing staff and won Auburn's first national championship in 53 years by his second season. And when Gene Chizik decided that he wanted to prove his worth, and unintentionally prove that his worth was the same as the men around him, Gus Malzahn swept in and turned a 3-9 team into a 10-1 team with a legitimate shot at a BCS National Championship in the last week of the regular season.
