What's more telling? Texas losing to BYU by 34 points at home, or the fact no one here is talking about it?
No one talking about it. Only ESPN was stupid enough to think Strong was going to right that ship immediately, especially with the continued suspension of players and David Ash's head being fucked up.

I think msu's 19 point loss is the closest 19 point game I've ever watched. It was actually an incredible game that came down to a handful of plays. Mariotta is a beast of a qb and a really took over the game. I thought for sure the dducks would crumble in the 3rd when msu was in command.. Instead mariotta made huge 3rd and long plays to continue 2 drives that resulted in TDs.

Mariota is fucking awesome, but let's not forget the defense after half time. They really came together and gave the offense time to do what Oregon does.

Yup. I definitely agree.. Even cook after the game said the second half adjustments by Oregon on D really confused them. Still.. Im most impressed with Oregon's resolve to come back.. That's leadership and heart.. And something msu prides itself on.. Oregon was just the better team last night.

Man yesterday was a huge day for the Big10 to try and show they're still relevant and they shit the bed hard. Michigan, Nebraska, MSU and OSU...
You forgot Purdue lost to Central Mich. Northwestern lost to NIU and Iowa barely got by Testicle Tech

Well, I know we've played two pretty easy teams, but I think Notre Dame is looking pretty good this year. We'll see what happens - they have a pretty tough schedule - but I don't think they're going to embarrass themselves at any of the games. The quarterback can throw bullets exactly on target, he doesn't panic, he moves well laterally, and he can rush. Pretty solid.

I've always been impressed by Mariota. Right now Oregon should be 2 over Alabama based on quality of wins, we'll see if voters have any sense (doubtful).

New AP and Coaches poll out... And I cannot fucking get over the stupidity. They should not be ranked, not even in the top 40 at this rate. Nor should Clemson...

Ohio St.:

AP - 22nd
Coaches Poll - 18th

"BRING ON OKLAHOMA" he said pretending to be far more confident than he felt.
What is Tennessee good at this year? OU's lines are pretty good so far but we're really young and inexperienced at the skill positions.

I like the team but I'm not sold on the top 5 rating yet. Knight just hasn't proven he can be consistent enough week in and week out to go through the Big XII unscathed.

Not only that, but Virginia Tech is 19th in the Coaches Poll. How the fuck does that happen? I know the voters aren't required to watch the games, but they should have at least seen the scores.

I find it problematic that OSU loses badly to an unranked team, but remains in the ranking, while Notre Dame solidly shuts out Michigan (fist time they are shut out since 1984), but only climbs five spots, and doesn't make the top ten.

The ranking system is bad, and it should feel bad.

We're no longer slow as fuck on defense. We have a first round pick at receiver. Our juco receiver who looked awesome got hurt last week. Both our lines suck ass. Our best pass rushers are freshmen. We can't run the ball at all.

So we're massively improved, all in all. But still not good. The dude who voted us 16th in the AP poll this week is a crazy person.

When have Notre Dame or Michigan been really relevant? Nobody cares, they're not winning shit regardless.
I guess winning every game a couple seasons ago and going to the national championship game (where they lost badly) makes them irrelevant? Everyone loves to shit on Notre Dame. Go ahead.

It does. Getting demolished on national tv so bad that the announcer starts perving on players girlfriends, finding out that your best player had a fake dead girlfriend, and then kicking your qb off the team for a year because he cheated in class makes people not care.

Actually, holding their players to high academic standings, and not letting them get away with anything makes me care quite a bit more about the team and the school. I wish more schools had the same level of integrity.
