Yea, it would be hilarious to see the Big XII get two teams (not named Texas or Oklahoma) into the first 4 team playoffs. I also what to see how highly this committee rates championship games. What if Missou and Wisky both win and one of them jumps into the top 4 because lolConferenceChamp instead of looking at the body of work? That would be a very dangerous precedent and one I'd like to see avoided very early on.

Ehh im thinking bama drops to 4 if they lose. Unless its a whoopin.
If they were undefeated then I think you would be correct; however, if a 1 loss team loses to a team in the bottom half of the top 25 and still stays ahead of other 1 loss teams they would be setting another very dangerous precedent.

Ugh, usually I would be pretty confident since it is Norman, but 3 losses and a defense that makes every QB look like a Heisman contender makes me nervous.

What are your feelings about Gundy and OSU after this year?
I'm willing to give him another year, because truthfully I think he's the best we can do. Pumped for the game though - liked what I saw from Rudolph at Baylor...

Every top 6 team besides OSU had two losses that year. The equivalent would have been jumping a 3 loss team above those two loss teams.
07 Was still the craziest year I've ever seen in college football. To end the season, the #1 ranked team lost in 3 of the last 4 weeks (#1 Ohio St lost, then #1 LSU lost, then #1 Missouri lost, and Ohio St and LSU got back to the top of the polls). The end of that season was a total clusterfuck.

And if anyone cares in a more in-depth look at the craziness at the end of that season:
There's 15 weeks in the season:

Week 11:
#1 Ohio St Loses
(LSU moves to #1, Oregon to #2)

Week 12:
#2 Oregon Loses
(LSU stays #1, kansas to #2)

Week 13:
#1 LSU Loses
#2 kansas loses
(Missouri moves to #1, West Virginia to #2, #3-7 are Ohio St, Georgia, Virginia Tech, kansas, LSU. At this point we are 1 week away from a Missouri-West Virginia national title game)

Week 14:
#1 Missouri loses
#2 West Virginia loses
Ohio St moves to #1 from #3
LSU leaps to #2 from #7 after beating Tennessee by 1 TD in the SEC title game, #4 Georgia was idle(Tenn won the East)
Virginia Tech beat Boston College in the ACC title game but only moved up from 6 to 3,
Oklahoma jumped up to #4 from # 9 after beating #1 Missouri in the Big 12 title game
Georgia slipped to #5 from #4 while idle)

Virginia Tech was the team that got totally screwed in 2007. #7 LSU was 10-2 playing #14 Tennessee who was 9-3 in the SEC title game, and LSU wins 21-14. #6 Virginia Tech was 10-2 playing #11 Boston college who was also 10-2 in the ACC title game, and Va Tech won 30-16. So Virginia Tech was ranked higher to start, beat a better team, by more, and got leaped by LSU to move into #2 and the National Title game.

Seasons like '07 and decisions like LSU to #2 make me lament the fact that the computers didn't play a larger role in the BCS formula after the '04 season instead of a smaller role. Leaving these decisions to biased what-have-you-done-for-me-lately AP reporters and coaches who had no time to watch other games was a huge mistake.

Well, time to go drink myself into a stupor in order to either drown my sorrows or celebrate like I've won the lottery. Here's to a great day of college football

I'll be rooting for you all! If you all beat Bama', I'll get the pitchforks ready when they still put Bama' in the top 4.
