I've decided to sell all my old books so I'm getting some of them slabbed. First set of books back from CGC:

I was able to find a few of mine. Came back from Iraq and saw this had came out and snatched them up.

Found a few more. I need to get this xmen graded. Nothing like getting war money and coming home bored. Nice little stash. I still have 3 big boxes at my mothers house. I should grab those and hope nothing ate them. Those are mainly 90s comics. I think the biggest one I might have is the Spider-Man 1 platinum.

A while back I got my first set of books back from CGC that I had cleaned and pressed myself. The press has definitely paid for itself. Here are the 9.8s I got.

Thor 338, 337, 339

Spectacular Spider-Man 107, 64, ROM 31 (second appearance of Rogue)

Nice! I posted a bit back this year that I bought my first ever 9.8, and it was Thor 337 because Beta Ray Bill is my fucking boy! That's worth a good chunk of change by itself. I also have two other copies of it that will never get a 9.8...unless somehow they get cleaned and press properly. I also have the next 20 or so in the run, but only those next 2 you have are worth grading if at 9.8.

I've also got that Judge Dredd #1 you have, love that fucking comic.

Love to see all these, but I'm super jealous that you're getting those high grades! I guess your press really paid off. Good for you man!

I have a New Mutants 87 (first Cable). Friend owned it and it had a minor water wave about the size of a quarter. I offered to buy it, he offered to iron that out. I said no no please don't, it's fine. Brings it to school next day and he had STEAM ironed the whole fucking thing.

I hate people.

Double hit. Indiepop declared bankruptcy. And so did IDW.
we were doing work for Indiepops digital comics. and Usagi Yojimbo for Stan and IDW.

We have no current DC ongoings. just backups. We are doing some Frank Millar presents stuff.

Edit: Stan Sakai, and Usagi did move to Darkhorse. so we should be still working on that and it being published.

Liefeld blocked me on Twitter because I tweeted that I was disappointed that I can't seem to get any information about an order I placed 2 months ago.

As someone who struggles to maintain any interest in this industry outside of the movies these days, such a bummer of a day giving up on some nostalgia I reasonably thought I'd get by ordering a couple copies of Brigade directly from him.

Maybe still waiting on the Kickstarter for 9 years and counting should have been a sign.

ooph. my only interactions with Rob, were hanging out in a Comic book coloring pro forum, and one of the colorists bitching there about getting shafted over royalties/pay or something for work they had done for Rob 15 years prior back in the Image days.
And Rob parachuting in, and threatening legal action for it.

That one sucks. His art still holds up and is better than a lot of new comers I see right now. Definitely on the Mt Rushmore of comic book artists.

know he isn't for everyone, but razorfist did a good little tribute, as someone that doesn't watch creator interviews, clips were pretty neat

And now I'm downloading Daredevil 12-19. When I was actively collecting DD was one of my favorites. I actually started reading the book when I was having chemo for the first time back in '96. It was the Kessel/Nord that got me hooked on the character. I found it to be a fun relaxing read.
