AM & PM paper routes at 12-14. Work permit at 15. 15-18 summers / week ends carpenter helper / plumbers helper. High school washed dishes week nights. Bought my first truck at 16. 18 apprentice carpenter, 20 apprentice plumber. Did night school community college 19-21 (paid my own tuition). 21 moved to a Uni. to finish last 3 yrs (paid my own tuition). College worked part time in a machine shop and also a composites fabrication company. Right out of college a friend and I started drywall contracting, while I did boat repair on weekends. Started a one man custom fab shop at 25, had 3 employees my 2nd yr.
My resume would give Mike Rowe a hard on.

IF you could afford a house you might find out the crazy money a plumber charges to do something simple. I haven't had to pay a plumber to work on any of the 3 houses I own.

Yesterday at a Safeway I'd never been to I couldn't find pine nuts or pita chips. When I asked for help from 2 people they BOTH asked if I looked in the chip and nut isle. Then said "uhhhhh" for a few seconds while I walked away.

No one except some millionaire owns our place, ours and the 275 others in these 33 floors. Kids will be living high on inheriting grandparent dollars. Our deposit was $250. The joys of coporate living. Super jelly of the trailers your kids will get handed down to them tho.

I know plenty of lazy fucks that worked on my families ranch with very similar backgrounds to you. Talking shit about retail jobs, fast food jobs or any job just put's you closer to behaving like the other two up above. I like Mike Rowe but don't try and co-opt his stance on trade jobs to make yourself look cooler. You forget the guy was a host on QVC for years. He is an actor. I worked at Taco Bell during high school, and it was fucking awesome. Minimum wage shit pay, but it was a lot of fun because back then almost everyone in fast food was also in high school. Unlike today where almost everyone is a middle-aged Korean lady.
I don't knock anyone for their actual job, because as Scream said, having a fucking job is good enough for me. I even go out of my way to be nice to fast food workers and retail employees if they are nice to me and trying to be helpful. But Jesus Tyen, is there a single job out there that you haven't fucking taken advantage of? I mean, we've all fucked around at places and done things we shouldn't have (I gave friends free food at Taco Bell late at night), but yours sounds like a never-ending litany of not giving a fuck and trying to scam as much as you can out of every single job before you get caught. I hope that isn't still the case? Eventually you have to grow out of that kind of mindset; I'm assuming you have too, but I'm honestly not sure, since it doesn't sound that much different than the way you treat posting on message boards.

You asking MY rate, or the standard rate? Standard rate jizz mopper in Cali makes between $800.00-$1,200.00 a week. This is a 60 hour work week however. Productions do 12 hour shifts (less in pre and post production but you still get the 12 hour pay). Get an IASTE spot in your specific jizz mopping craft(Mop construction/Bucket dressing/jizz accounting) and those numbers go way up.
This is all below the line jizz mopping however. The above the line jizz moppers make the real money.
