He also loved Alan Wake 2, so take his opinion with a 2-ton block of salt.
Yeah he's kind of a hit and miss lately. I don't watch a lot of his reviews anymore but I know sometimes there's a game that's coming out that I'm somewhat interested in I'll at least check out his stuff because he's somewhat tolerable, but since his YouTube Fame has kicked in, I find myself just having to skip through or shutting the video down.

Also don't care if you got every stupid steam achievement, those are for fags.

The ACG neck beard is sometimes okay but I can't stand his stupid humor that he tries to write into all of his scripts, but I do like his format and the fact that he actually talks about music / sound in games. If he got rid of his stupid humor he'd probably be the best out there at least in my eyes.

My biggest problem with Alan Wake 2 was it wasn't Alan wake , it was a QTE game posing as Alan Wake.

I'm 21 hours in Control Resonant. Not sure what the big patch today will change but I think I'm nearing the end. The mobs are repetitive. They go 'up' in level but that just means they are damage sponges. I do like the flying around like Neo in the matrix and the weird really fucked up areas though. Not sure I'll play again unless there is some massive DLC but I don't feel like I wasted my money. Only real issue I've had with the whole game was landing some of the tricky jumps/dodges. Also only CTD once.

Not really, no. Control had gameplay and powers that were kind of similar to Infamous, but for some reason Remedy decided Resonant should be some sort of melee-focused abomination.

The upgrade system is horrific to be certain. I think they mean for it to have replayability what with all the different choices you have to make, but for a single go-through you end up missing more than half the abilities / weapons.

The plotline reinforces the whole notion that Jesse/Dylan are one person who got split so I suppose there's hope for a trilogy conclusion where they are unified back into a single person who is a badass.

So no lifting up chunks of concrete and hurling them at mobs?
Well not chunks but one of the powers is to hurl blocks of material at mobs, up to 3 total. I would use it for mobs that were too far away to hit with the melee weapon. I guess Remedy saw all the souls like and decided to join suit? The power I used the most was a shield that I could make explode around me for area damage.

Just finished the game. I'm not sure I'll ever play it again. There were whole levels (including the last one) that did nothing but piss me off. It's part of the story that they look alike but it's all twisty upsidedownsideways and it all looks the same. I had to constantly look up walkthroughs on my other monitor. On a game I am really enjoying (ER for example) I'm fine being lost but jumping around trying to find a fucking balloon that may be wayyyy over there upside down and getting constantly attacked by spore/chemical mobs is not my idea of a good time. Only reason I didn't quit and not finish is I bought it for full price.

It looked amazing , I have a 7800X3D and a 7900XTX , playing at 4K with FMR and was in the 80 frames. 40odd native. Sound was good , only 1 crash pre-patch. If I had to give it a number it would be maybe 70/100.

I'd recommend buying on sale if it perks your interest.

so they made the fact she had a man jaw a feature? lol
yeah she has a man jaw & they somehow made her uglier. Also regardless of hair/accessories you picked the guy had like a potato head, like a russet baking potato. His head and chin were small with giant cheeks. Really weird looking. I decided to embrace the crazy and my guy was running around in his underwear with no shirt , green hair and rings in his nose/ears.

The stroller chasing and electrical charging mini games make me want to find someone on the development team and beat them with my controller.
Yes, I have anger issues.
They are fucking terrible with narrow time windows and are easily fucked up by over/under shooting jumps or the controls just not working. The double jump to glide can be finicky.
Devs talk about “inclusion” then throw in high reflex requirement shit like that, fucking morons.
Getting older and slower doesn’t help, obviously, but if you have attempted the later versions of these two mini games you know what I am talking about.

Just as soon as I realized the stroller chasing was optional I said out loud 'fuck that', agree with the jumping. When you are down in the well and have to get out the 1st time I almost uninstalled the whole damn game. You have to hover and try to triple jump, how is that fun?

I didn't have a problem with the strollers or the electrical charging encounters, but I am really, really fucking hating when you kill a resonant and the world "levels up" and all the mobs are tougher, nastier, have a ton more HP, there's twice as many in each encounter, and your abilities barely incrementally get a teensy tiny bit better.
