I think what bothered him is how much people here can act like assholes when they disagree with you. It is what it is. It's the lion's den. It's the Apollo. Iron sharpens iron, etc.
Clearly you don't remember much about Suineg because he could be as big an asshole and troll as anyone else. His actual problem was being being bipolar with the way he interacted and treated people and then was all surprised that they didn't engage with him exactly how he wanted.

Makes a lot of sense, when people don't do exactly what I want all the time I HATE them too.

If they come here and read this I want it on the record that I support the use of violence as a legitimate response to these lawsuits. If I was sitting in the Oval I would absolutely let Mr Luigi loose with a vector to DBG.

You all need Jesus in your life.

Daybreak owns the IP. Thou shall not steal.
in an industry where IP means nothing and daybreak is constantly stealing concepts from more profitable games because they have no vision at all for the IPs that they purchased I must say this post probably truly resonates with the FOH community.

My point is at this point the actual argument behind eq being intellectual property is dead because of the people that owned it are more guilty of its bastardization.

You can come in here and just say some simple shit like this but I think it makes you look like a retarded faggot.

Either that or you are clearly on daybeaks payroll.

I would guess THJ will still be up for a month or more(?) while it gets processed through the courts, as the legal system isn't known for it's speed. So there is probably time to play through the Xpacs up to PoP. Disclaimer: I've never payed attention to EMUs before, so maybe shit will move faster than I'd expect.

It really shouldn't matter if you know it's going to be shut down. Everyone going into an EMU should be aware it's not some permanent long term server you are going to play for years and years, especially one that was chewing through xpacs like it was. You play until you get sick of it, then you move on, no more no less.

P.S. I have no interest in anything Daybreak is offering. Adrullan Online (Formerly Evercraft) beta tests did more for my EQ nostalgia than official EQ ever did in the last 20 years.

Adrullan Online looks pretty damn good.

Not surprised they had to change the name, though. Their main theme is so much like the EQ main theme that it's got a Vanilla Ice "no, ours goes like this, and theirs goes like this" vibe.

The EQ-ness in general is palpable. They even show a huge train chasing someone to the zoneline at one point in the trailer. They definitely "get it".

Saw they were advertising engineering positions, so figured I'd at least look since I lost my job. $40-60k range for software engineers in fucking San Diego, lol. Get the fuck out of here.
But this is for a *gaming* engineer position.

You do it for the prestige!

I'm sure this legal argument will stand up in court.
