ABS is a newegg in house brand - they are able to get GPUs at volume/distro rates and put them in systems for a premium - thats how they get prebuilt - they are building them.

You haven't gotten it yet, and already you are planning on swapping out parts. Might be ok on a $1k build...but a $3k one? Hehehe.

I got two PC’s in 2017 for $4500 each. $3k is a deal. I bought it for the 3080 and didn’t want to spend double on a 3090. And I didn’t want to wait until July to get it.

12+2 power stage is enough for a 5900x, right? I don't plan on doing any CPU ocing, just RAM. 95% sure I'm going with this board - just want to be sure.

There shouldn't be a single AM4 motherboard incapable of running at 5900X at stock, provided it's supported in BIOS. Power delivery configuration is only relevant with overclocking (also excepting PBO, but that is overclocking).

fyi,

the first number (12) means how many powerstages (mosfets) for the cpu and the second (2) for the ram

and yes like F Fulorian said this is only useful/significant to you if you plan to OC, 14power stages is already near the max they do, i believe the max now is 17

Got my Ryzen 5950x build almost ready. Just waiting on the SSD, and Mobo. Gonna just use my 2080ti for it. That RM1000x is hard as fuck to get these days, I just so happened to be in Houston for business this weekend and picked it up from microcenter.

That’s going to look so sick on the 720x720 flatscreen.

Curious why 1000w PSU - i ran my 5950x and 3090 on a 750 for about 5 months - Ofcourse i also dont OC but my RGBstation does have 17 fans.
many years ago when i was in va, the central air in my apt broke down and walmart was all out of housefans.

so i took my old at powersupply (it turns on w/o having to use the paperclip to bridge) and basically did this will all the fans i had lying around

I bought this stupid thing:

Hmm what about this versions one more speed makes it worth $35 more than the four speed? Is it pretty quiet? Need details...I’d like to replace my loud tower fan. I don’t feel like I can adequately detect and shoot noisy intruders with my current setup due to noise.

Also I think if you need some industrial style high volume air movement you maybe should have went this route instead.

Max Storm 1/2 HP Durable Lightweight Air Mover Carpet Dryer Blower Floor Fan for Pro Janitorial Cleaner, Blue
For extreme volume though this things a beast. It cools my entire garage but it’s loud.

Lasko 20" High Velocity Quick Mount, Easily Converts from a Floor Wall Fan, 7 x 22 x 22 inches, Black 2264QM

The 5 speed one has a remote.

I do not need industrial fans, I actually have a bunch of them for drying floors and stuff from when my basement flooded.

Just curious really - i almost jumped on the 1k PSU bandwagon when i was building my rig till i had a temp setup using a 750wt PSU that ran everything fine - since then i just kept my 850 Thor to handle it all and it runs 24/7.

There's no real reason, I am going to eventually have a 3090 in it or maybe the next gen card (tbh I have a 2080 ti atm, I probably dont need to bother upgrading atm), and that psu has a 7 year parts and labor warranty on it and i didn't pay extra for it (229 at microcenter) so I guess I just didn't think much of it.
