See guys, this is what will happen if you increase the drop chances or institute trading.A friend of mine found a near perfect one, then quit the next day.
I referred to no such thing, so don't try and stick words in my mouth. What I'm referencing is the good:bad legendary ratio. You know you will never find just good items. You know you just may never see something drop. You know these things because that's how the game is designed and built to work. I know the drop rate is streaky. When I can get 5 legendary/set items in 10 minutes and have 4 of them be keepers, I don't cry when I don't get anything for 3 days. Hell realistically I've kept one item in the last week, but I'm not complaining about not getting loot. The issue is that that the "gear pace" you keep describing isn't a pace nor is it an even distribution. I love that you refer to the pity-legendary timer as an 'even distribution'. It's a timer that escalates your chance at a legendary until you actually get one. It's not a guarantee, nor is it a realistic ceiling or a floor (though I guess it could get close to a 100% guarantee at a specific time frame, but that's never been clarified). You can find 2 in 5 minutes then another 2 hours later (thus 3 in 125 minutes), or you can go 3 hours without any dropping. Both of those are from my personal experiences, so of course their anecdotal but seem to illustrate that it's not even.
What amuses me the most, is that Ao has gotten the rarest (and best) weapon for a WD using the CURRENT IMPLEMENTATION and is whining about it.If I didn't have my starmetal already (which I got fromtrading, or more appropriately from the general kindness of a guildmate who decided to share it with me during the limited 2 hour window).
Actually the Network Engineers working on the game's core functionality would explain a few of these decisions lolWe can only have one? It's the same guy working on both problems?
I assume he is saying its one of the few "REQUIRED" items do be able to do Blizzard's vision of endgame content at all. Again THAT is the major problem which everyone seems to gloss over and say lol l2pscrub earn dem legendaries (still unclear what earn means in a BoA lottery game). There needs to be a large amount of legendaries that are viable endgame. Period. This is not up for debate, unless you are okay with everyone using the exact same builds and gear. Is Shard of Hate being the end all for like a lightning monk ok? Yep. Is Lightning Monk being the only spec able to do t6 at all ok? Nope. Why does every WD that wants to do T6 have to do a pet build? Why does every barb who wants to solo T6 have to farm a specific set then use a generally specific build with it?What amuses me the most, is that Ao has gotten the rarest (and best) weapon for a WD using the CURRENT IMPLEMENTATION and is whining about it.
That it amuses you shows you don't understand what several people have already articulated. But, thank you for sparing us the long winded diatribe Hate Monkey has been giving us.What amuses me the most, is that Ao has gotten the rarest (and best) weapon for a WD using the CURRENT IMPLEMENTATION and is whining about it.
Did you read the part where I mentioned player knowledge? It's overlooked quite a lot. The large majority of us posters in this thread have a very, very good idea how to play D3. So we tend to gloss over what wethinkwe know is common knowledge.Endgame is torment 1 even though I was at T1 the second I hit 70 (i didnt drop from T1 leveling from 60-70). If thats endgame then wtf.
The issue here is that once you get into the 400+ hours, and still keep on getting the same damn legendarys over and over and over and over and over again, you start to doubt the "random" loot system. The odds for you getting the same pants 6 times in a row are so small (given the possible pool) that you KNOW something is fucked up on Blizzards side of thing.I know the drop rate is streaky. When I can get 5 legendary/set items in 10 minutes and have 4 of them be keepers, I don't cry when I don't get anything for 3 days. Hell realistically I've kept one item in the last week, but I'm not complaining about not getting loot.
Since you seem to be wise in these matters; If I have a weapon doing poison damage, but my primary skill turns my damage into holy... will my +10% holy weapon damage affect said poison weapon?Stack whatever elemental damage % modifier that your skills are, crit and crit damage should be roughly 1:10 ratio, so 5% crit chance 50% crit damage, attack speed is almost always inferior to crit/crit damage (few specific exceptions to this), always socket emeralds and always have a socket in your weapon(s), never use a 2h unless you're crusader, run at least SOME area damage (50% from paragon is usually enough), pick up % skill mods for your most used/highest damage skill where you can. That's basically the gist of it outside some class specific stuff for mojos/quivers/sources.
You should rarely, if ever, reroll secondary stats. You should be rerolling one of the primary stats on an item to make it better. Life replenishment skills are meh for wizards. Your goal should always be MOAR damage.Once I started re rolling, anytime I saw gold pickup yardage I got rid of it. Kinda sucks really if you want to actually pick up gold.
