I at least find the atmosphere way closer to 2 than 3. But yeah, gameplay wise it’s closer to 3.
I came to not think 3 was dogshit. It was inevitable when you saw where blizzard went with wow even then.

I came back late last week after not getting VoH and not being around a long time. Rolled Paladin (of course) and am having a good time with it. I'm like 105 paragon level and working slowly through the season.

Still learning stuff I forgot, and stuff thats been added, but again, enjoying myself so far.

I would try this again, especially the Pally, but fuck if im gonna give these people another $40 after spending the hundo on the OG D4 which I played all of like 40 hours.

I finally poked around the shop. Blizzard artists are still pretty great I hate to admit.

Blizzard/MS/Activision whoever’s greed is evident. Some of that shit in the store is like $25-40 for fucking character armor. And I don’t mind MTX in general if it’s somewhat ethical but they don’t even hand out a pittance platinum with game purchases. At least GGG under Chris W always gave you some tokens or the game was free and you bought the MtX as your box fee if you wanted. I would even be ok with a hybrid model if it was priced right. This shit is not.

So I’m playing pretty slow. Finished main campaign starting first xpac. And…the story is not bad? I actually enjoyed it.

Kinda annoyed how fucking on rails the difficulty is. I want to boost it up. And items meh. It’s a very popcorn arpg.

I skipped every single cutscene and dialogue. I have no fucking idea what the story is, but demons go brrrrrrrrrrrr
