It's always 3 royals, yes. Since i've been on torments and max level I have not seen a gem below royal drop (and 1 grand that I got from somewhere, maybe one of the season rewards or something else, don't think it was a ground drop). Farming one (probably Seer's but maybe others faster if ppl try, who knows) is obviously the way to go if just trying to grind it out vs random dungeon hopping, though.

Just use stuff that you have fun using. Respecs are easy later on if/when you get stuck in torments and need to respec to one of the meta builds to progress. For me personally, the fun in ARPG's always comes from just using stuff I want to and gradually getting stronger and eventually switching to the real strong builds. I find it pretty difficult to switch the other way, from something super strong to something significantly weaker so the times when I go for meta right out of the gate I end up getting the least amount of fun and playtime.
For whatever reason I beat the act two boss and got a unique, and maybe it's my level, but going into act 3, it's like suddenly I've got a big power bump. Maybe it's that everything is finally coming online with the amount of skill points I have or I've overleveled it, I don't know.

It's fun though and it takes a lot to bring my guy down. Before it was pretty tanky but time to kill was slow but now I'm just blasting stuff. I'm sure there's probably a better combination of skills, but like I said I'm not a power gamer, I just wanted to see if there was something I had I just avoid like the plague, or something a lot of fun and awesome but I'm missing out on.

So even this league as things got updated, I have tended to find better success stealing tweaks from Maxroll than Mobalytics. I don’t follow who’s where. So had no idea there’s been movement. But YMMV. I had made my own Dread Claws. And it was doing ok but kept feeling like I needed to overhear a lot. Same effect when I tried Mobalytics version. But the Maxroll version took it up a notch. Still not great.

Thanks.

That's the problem I was running into just trying to find something on YouTube where you just get multiple videos of idiots saying this is the bees knees. I can't even find a damn decent video just explaining what the different skills do you without but typical YouTube gamer bullshit.

I'm not trying to power game or climb the ladder or whatever, I just want to know if there are any specific skills or portions of the tree I ought to avoid or if I do a specific combination it's a waste of time.

So far it seems that what I'm going with on my own is working, but sometimes killing elite monsters or bosses is a little slow, but I don't necessarily know what to compare it to, and I don't have any idea whether or not it's just average or if it's shittastic.
Raxx has a Angelic Hammerdin build that I switched to from a Shield of Retribution Paladin build that I prefer; he's just signed some deal with Mobalytics so all of his stuff with be over there now but he has multiple videos on it, Leveling vs. Endgame. I'm digging it, just hit Torment 1 and breezing through everything. They have dialed the gear back so much; I still don't have full legendaries and what does drop isn't for my build at all. War Plans are great, there is a viable build for every class, Narrative wasn't just Satanic BS but actually almost could have been from an anime, if you forget that it shits on years of Diablo lore (I mean D4 overall, not just the expansion; Lord of Hatred's story is the first game that is actually not terrible in the story dept).

Even if it is just D3 redux, that may be the last time Blizzard didn't outright suck, so kudos for pulling out of the nose dive. Hurray! You made a non-terrible video game! That makes you.. <looks at the scoreboard> well, lets just focus on the next one!

Pit 105 went down pretty easy this morning after a couple gear changes/upgrades, so figured i'd try a 110. Barely beat the 110, was like 2x the difficulty of the 105 it seemed.

Did a 109 today so decided to go blast Lilith. One shot her in both forms. Objective complete. Tried mephisto and he one shot me like 15 seconds in. I'll put that one on hold for a bit.

A couple of points:
One, I'm a fucking idiot, I forgot I was in t12 when trying Mephisto, I melted him in t10
Two, endurant faith charm works a treat to stop the 1 shot kills

The fight is still bullshit though.
