Honestly that's the way to go with diablo. Both diablo 3 and 4 sucked ass until years after launch.

The bones of diablo 4 are still absolute ass, they just happened to add enough content that I found it fun for a season

What did D4 improve over D3 and/or its competition? And why do you have any faith D5 will continue that, even if eventually?

D4 provides a different experience than D3. Where D3 is like PoE where it's a base then instance game, D4 provides like 12 different activities (10 of which are base then instance). The open world exp counting for kills if you tagged it is different but not new to the genre.

If your game starts as pickled pig shit and it takes a couple of paid expansions to get it to “oh this is decent” level then you have fucking failed.

I posted after you but it was more to the thread in general. This thread is not nearly negative enough. Far too many "lolbrainlessarpg" and "itgotnotshittyeventually" replies.

I am trying, man. The first two were so fucking life altering that the next two are given huge passes by most. Not me. Fuck post-WoTLK Blizzard.

New Starcraft is going to be absolute garbage as well.
