what streaming service were you using? Infinity War isn't on Disney+ yet. Its on Netflix in USA, I just tried on the browser on my 3440x1440 monitor in chrome and it played full screen but probably the 1080p stream with no HDR support.

Disney is doing the reduced bitrate thing in Europe. Not sure if that would affect things. Maybe they are shrinking the max size so the lower resolution doesn't degrade picture quality?
