yeah I liked this more than Arcane, while that definitely has much, much better production, voice acting, visuals, and pretty much everything the whole D&D vibe of this clicked with me way more than the steampunk-litRPG of Arcane. I've not played a second of DOTA or LOL so its not source IP, just personal preference

season finale is no joke. named characters die.
Solid adventure up to that point. Might have to stew on it a bit. but, first impressions are quite high I'd say.

Vanari and Auroth are new I think.
Fymryn's life is suffering and can't do anything right.
they kill Marci AND Lina. and auroth, but shes new, so not really shocking.

After first viewing, I liked this season as well as last.
It is still in the same ballpark as Invincible, Castlevania, and Arcane. It's not as dark as Invincible, and more of an adventure than Arcane. It had some twists and wasn't totally transparent or predictable on where it was headed.

Yea, didn't really think about it that much this season, but it was talked about last season, in the thread. Everything fit within the world which they built and nothing felt shoehorned in for some agenda.
I guess that's part of the consistency of holding with last season and it's almost a requirement for any show to achieve greatness, these days.

yeah, this plays out as a grand adventure. the one thing that would be required to elevate it, is to slow down and spend more time with the characters. make it more personal. its not devoid of that... but, its also not Arcane nor Avatar the last Airbender. Selemene and Invoker are probably the only ones we REALLY get into the weeds with in terms of that.
The series could really use a few down time episodes.

Auroth was Winter Wyvern. Kaden's connection with Crystal Maiden also makes it seem like he is Sven. I mean, people had thought he might be Sven because his signature weapon was a big ass sword, but him being all chummy with her makes that possible identity even more strong.

This. Just finished and while I enjoyed it as much as the first season it feels like they skipped two or three episodes towards the end.
I would have thought s2 would show why mommy dearest wants everyone to kiss her ass or why she was a usurper. How did the incredibly smart invoker have a child with such a woman? But nothing on all that.
