Finished Book 6. Not as good as 5, but still damned good. Moving on to 7. Soon to be waiting for book 8.

5 and 7 are my favorites. I think 7 edges 5 out just barely, but they're both up there.

You're in for a wild ride.

I loved 7. The only one I didn’t really like was 2. It was still good and had great moments, just didn’t really like the subway setting and all the confusing/pointless lines and platforms.

Subway was book 3, I know because I just finished it. Book 2 was floor 3 and the first outdoor level.

Oops my bad. Looked it up and it seems like I wasn’t the only one that didn’t like book three as much as the others.

After just the first 3 it is the clear worst. There was enough that was good to make up for it and I still enjoyed reading, but definitely the dog so far.

I just listened to book one. I've never been a fan of audible books, but I guess I'm going to get the rest. I read pretty slow and the performance was good so I think I will stick with audio books.

Anyone else listening to DCC podcasts? I found a couple and listened to an episode each and they were pretty good. Seems like a good way to scratch my itch to talk about the book when I'm so far behind.

I don't want spoilers but I have 2 questions. How many levels is he doing per book? Is he sticking with 2 levels? Second, has he explained agatha yet? My wife is on book 4 or 5 and she told me agatha hasn't shown back up yet.

Typically one level per book, but there are exceptions.

Agatha has been mostly explained by now. Not completely, but enough that you understand why she's like she is.

I kinda got to 'mostly explained' at the end of book 1.

She's clearly being controlled by a worm who is at war with the mudskippers. She didn't want to put shit in inventory because then the AI might see and flag that comms device. Just not sure exactly what its plan is to fuck over the mudskippers or why it wanted to make sure there were a lot of olds in the dungeon. I guess those things could be explained or hinted at without agatha showing up.

You get a decent amount more than that much much later, but unless I'm forgetting something it still isn't completely explained.

Yeah Agatha comes in quite a bit more later once they start explaining her “type” of people, what the represent, etc. pretty sure she will get more and more focus on her as the books progress as her “mission” could become a major thing.

Am I the only one that kinda wants to see a Carl cosplay in the riots?

The bare feet would be rough. Maybe someone can make shoes that look like oversized feet.
