My favorite thing about the books is how believable the unbelievable is in his story. Like the idea that Carl picks up every single thing not bolted to the ground just in case he can use it later. Like the mundane pieces of large metal from the first few books becoming more useful as they level up; that isnt even tied to a crazy item. It makes them being pulled out later and combined very satisfying.

Edit: I expect the series to end when Carl finally exits the dungeon and his inventory dumps onto the ground, causing a gravitational singularity.
