Almost done with book , I think 4 - The Gate of the Feral gods. I now see why you guys like Samantha so much.

Slit the demon reared back, ready to slam her chain whip down once again.
“No time, sorry,” I said. I turned 90 degrees, and I chucked Samantha with all of my might.
Samantha popped into existence at my feet, screaming. “Not fair! Not fair! You tell my mother to get back here! That was my kill!” We just stared down at her as she continued to moan and growl. “Throw me again. Maybe that’ll bring her back!”
“That god thing was your mother?” Donut finally asked.
“I’m going to kill her,” Samantha said.
“Wait,” I said. “Wasn’t your dad the one who sent you into the Nothing?”
“Yeah. He was mad at me for having a baby with my king. But my mom was banging him too, so she got mad. Jealous bitch. She said she was going to kill me if I ever got out, but she killed that Slit bitch instead. She never keeps her promises. Parents not keeping their promises is the number one cause of childhood trauma, you know.”

I have basically the same commute, an hour each way. I can’t stand the radio, and music is often pretty fleeting, just ran through all of Andy Wier’s stuff…need this audiobook to come out Yesterday….
Aside from the only free time I get, I use to hit the mats, can’t possibly get reading in, my eyes are aching by the time I’m to bed

Brown literally just did that with Red Rising. He pumped the special editions through Kickstarter or wherever and the turned around and announced the partnership release with Curious King. Rubbed a ton of people the wrong way. I do think it’ll be something else though and not DCC.

Looks like it is a set of 11 signed, limited prints of all currently revealed floors. Facebook post just updated but the site hasn’t yet. Meh, I like artwork but don’t have room on a wall to display 11 nerd drawings.
tbh kind of shit... hah I try not to be too negative about these things, but $100 a piece and the artwork isn't great? I don't know. As much as I have enjoyed DCC this appeals to me none at all. They're each limited to 100 so maybe you could buy them and hope to flip? But who is the market for $1,000+ worth of 11" x 17" prints? Trying to figure out how I'd even add all 11 to my cart fast enough to get a full matched set, or if they're offering it as matching numbers.
The real value is usually securing your rights to order any future Lit Escalates and Matt Dinniman publications, but that doesn't seem to be indicated on here either.
I also wonder if regular DCC readers understand the economics of these limited edition small press printings. When Red Rising was announced people were vomiting over having to potentially pay $150 for a very nice hardcover version of the book. Interested to see what the response is from the broader public about competing to pay $100 for a wall print.
