Nexus mods are definitely cuck fags and the dude who owns the site is a complete degenerate, but I don't think it's shadowbanned. It just got 95% of its endorsements when the shitshow over there first happened. It still shows up as the top endorsed mod if you look at 28 days or all time. Default on the front page is last 7 days and it's not just that particular mod; the whole list is very different compared to 28d/all time.

After seeing how they went out of their way to censor a bunch of incredibly minor parts of Oblivion (changing clothes, changing statues, etc) I have basically lost all hope for ES6, it's going to be totally cucked and will probably be soulless just like Starfield was.

Went looking for an Oblivion Remastered to buy, hoping there was a nice box set available.

.........There's no physical edition at all? I should have expected that, at this point.

Remember when Elder Scrolls games had box sets with lorebooks and maps and whatnot, even in console editions?

We didn't know how good we had it.
I had that Oblivion map up until a few years ago when I gave it to my nephew. I kinda want to ask for it back lmao.

Wonder what they'll put in that's worse than gay tellatubies?

How does one physically distribute games that are 100+gb? Flash drives?

That's really sad to hear. I know ES4 does the "body types" thing but I didn't know they censored a bunch of stuff in the game itself. Companies need to start learning to tread lightly when they're remaking a beloved IP, hopefully they will at some point.

After ten years of waiting (I got into Elder Scrolls in 2014, and thought ES6 would be on the way soon), a lot of my enthusiasm for ES6 has been dulled. When a company doesn't put out any promotional stills/videos whatsoever, it's often a bad sign.

Biggest fear is that ES6 will be full of empty space, a soulless world that's all sanitized for our protection.

Funny going back and reading things I wrote about Elder Scrolls back in 2014 when friends and I were playing Daggerfall and bouncing ideas around, and I was lamenting that it would "take until 2030" to get the rest of the provinces (i.e. ES6 through 10).

You can still have digital distribution with a physical box and collectibles.

I mean, companies do this all the time. FF7 Rebirth is like 120 GB and comes with a Data Disc and Play Disc.

The disc has however much of the game to run it, and you patch/download the rest of it during the installation.

And yeah, even if something was too big to physically distribute, you could have a box set for it with the game key / download code along with the maps and lore books and whatever else.

The armor adjustments made for the women models are pretty cringe, as is body type 1 and 2. But overall, the game plays pretty well, and im having a lot of fun with it. It does everything else I wanted a remaster to do. I just hope they continue fixing bugs, its buggy af, as all bethesda games, and this one fixes old ones while introducing new ones. Lol

Finished 100% on PS5 over the weekend. Was my first time playing Oblivion, pretty solid game. Played just like Skyrim on PS5, which is to say it played well. Only a handful of crashes.

What are people's thoughts on the Shivering Isles expansion? Before playing, everything I heard was that it was one of the best expansions ever. While I enjoyed it, I found much of the main story tiresome... maybe I'm old and jaded at this point, but Sheo's schtick just wasn't really doing it for me. Although, I can see how a younger me would have thought it was hilariously awesome.

Finished Arena part. Or so I thought. Got the vamp orcs bonus stat quest first ofc. But is the weekly beast fight quest repeatable forever or?

Read somewhere that Microsoft won't let you sexualize women on xbox games anymore and this is why the body type / statue nonsense got in. Like consoles needed more reasons to ruin gaming.

The armor I don't really mind, it fits with the more realistic art style the game has. Plate armor is worn over thick layers of padding so is not remotely form-fitting. A more stylized low-cut boob plate or the "chainmail bikini" style would look completely out of place.

The originals were unisex too when it came to plate styles. There's a video below comparing all of them, by and large the outfits are true to the originals. Think the outrage over it was overblown.

There's got to be a sensible middle ground between unisex Mao's Cultural Revolution Uniforms that completely eliminate sexuality, and stupid-looking out of place bikini armor straight out of your favorite anime RPG. Rather than swinging from one extreme to the other, game designers should seek a middle ground where female characters can retain some sexuality and appeal while also looking realistic and logical within the established game world. -the hell, that sounds like AI wrote it

Personally the armors in that video look fine and pretty consistent with the old ES4 armors next to them, with a few exceptions where they unisexed things (which seem to all be plate-related, skimming through it, which is at least logical). Remember that we started with this as the ES1 box art:

lol

Also, some of the outfits in that video are pretty hot, especially the Roman-themed ones, while also looking like actual armor. So my fears of not being able to make an attractive character were unfounded.

Well, I'll get to this game soon enough, and won't have any point of reference on most things since I didn't really play the original Oblivion. It's unfortunate that Shivering Isles isn't very good, considering how good Morrowind's Solstheim is (which I thought was Shivering Isles, since I mix up the expansions of the two...and Solstheim is also one of the Skyrim expansions, making things even weirder). Bethesda has a good track record for making absolute banger expansions (Fallout 3, need I say more).

Latest Morrowind News: Got Boots of Blinding Speed, found out that items with negative side effects are only checked once (upon equipping). Immediately made a 3 second 100% magic resistance spell (called it Spell Block, maybe it'll be useful eventually for something else, like if anything Death Touches), and cast that before I equipped it. The blinding effect was completely blocked, so all I got was the 3x run speed. Game is now a Road Runner cartoon, zipping around the landscape.
