True, but it usually takes a cycle or two. Fallout 76 was a mishap. Starfield was an absolute joke. With all the evidence mounting against TES6, it's gonna be a definite no from me barring some insane reviews.

Yeah only saving grace from a dollar perspective is Gamepass. Aside from Expedition 33, which wasn't a Microsoft title, most everything 3rd party and everything 1st party coming from MS to GP is mediocre at best. From Avowed to what will be TES6, Starfield, etc. Hell even Doom Dark Ages somehow got to the suck mode. If there isn't a large dollar amount of revenue that comes, it's always going to be mediocre garbage and least common denominator development when it comes to MS 1st party here on out. Couple that with DEI and holy shit the quality of these titles goes down the drain.

TES are amazing, you take that back. They were always buggy and weird, but they had tons and tons of content. The weird part about starfield is it basically had no content. It was all the buggy and jank of an elder scroll game with absolutely none of the charm. And an aggressively retarded UI.
Starfield was so bad I'm definitely not buying tes6 on release. I'll probably get it if its reception is pretty positive for a couple weeks. I like TES, but I have this strange feeling it will just be an empty boring wasteland.

I mean I played them all. It's just they strayed so far from normal fantasy that they were just odd ducks. I guess that's why Skyrim was so successful, it played more like a regular dungeons and dragons adventure than the other weird ones.
I enjoyed Skyrim a lot. Then we got the horrible FO4, ESonline, and 76. And that's the last game I will ever buy from them. Fool me thrice and I'm done.

There are not insignificant odds now by the time its ready, MS cancels this. The MS axe is falling on so many things, the next Xbox may be the last, and MS is moving away from gaming due to the failure of GamePass to grow as expected.
Woke has ruined Western Game Devs. (and Hollywood, and most other creative media). The lead time for games is so long though that games are going to take the longest to self correct, and many studios are going to have to fail before the Western game industry fix themselves.

Games like this which are in development now and costing these companies tens of not hundreds of million to make should take hints from the failings of the past year or two of woke ass games failing, literal top IP flopping like fishes. IF they dont have the leadership to self correct and pivot away from the gayness, well, thats on them and they deserve to fail. there is plenty of time to take the gay away from these games. The people have spoken, they dont want this shit in their games. They dont want to be preached to by some fucking degenerate tranny/faggot.
As to starfield, I mean, I didnt play it all the way through cause it was boring as fuck, but it didnt have any of this shit in the game, at least not that I remember. It was just an awful game, lol. But of course correct me if im wrong here.
As to MS moving away from gaming, I mean it could be. But after they sunk BILLIONS in buying up giant studios in the industry the last few years, that would be a big fucking waste, dont you think?

As Az indicated in his well-memorialized rant, It was FULL of woke shit, in a sci-fi setting in places where it didn't matter (gay partners are fine but how many do you need to see before it becomes overwhelming?) and in places where it didn't make any sense (I'm trans because I am female clone of a male general), just because of virtual signaling reasons; in addition to be buggy, half-assed mess, where the narrative is literally broken for the sake of replayability but no one at the company thought it through enough to realize it.
Microsoft are getting utterly, irredeemably trounced in the console space. This next console may very well be the last one. That's why you are seeing "Everything is an Xbox!" campaigns spin up. GamePass isn't growing; making respectable money but not for what they spent on it and what they *continue* to spend on it. A stagnant business is one on a path for a shake up. I think ( and lots of analysts think, to be sure) Microsoft's commitment to gaming isn't growing but waning; given that they may see SteamOS make an attack on PC gaming and their Windows dominance, the Console Space is looking less and less like a something worth into which they should be pouring billions.

Out of the five existing Elder Scrolls main series games - which at this point we might as well call the TOD on and declare the whole series - which is your favorite?
Arena - Has the whole of Tamriel, go anywhere and do anything, a zillion builds, lot of jank
Daggerfall - The biggest world in the series (despite only having High Rock and some of Hammerfell), go anywhere and do anything, a zillion builds, lot of jank
Morrowind - Has the most interesting world in a sci-fi sense, massive amount of quests and content that don't feel as cut and paste as the first two, still tons of freedom, medium jank
Oblivion - Nicest visuals (YMMV), storylines have come a long way, massive amount of quests and content, less freedom but still a lot of builds
Skyrim - Most iconic, haz dragons, massive amount of quests and content, least freedom of the five on how you develop your character, but least jank of the five
It might be cliche but I really like Morrowind. It's right in the middle ground for amount of freedom in character development along with having enough QOL, and I really like the alien-ish world (which I suspect might have started life as a Star Wars game and gotten converted into an ES at some point). However, I've still never played Skyrim.
