Is MQ even a big issue? Like doing a Mq for a sky weapon isn’t even that good if it just gives you a sky weapon at +0. You are still mostly restricted by how many motes you have to upgrade it.

I think it was enough of an issue because there was a group constantly clearing sky in order to MQ all their drops to each other.

Complete lack of parity with people trying to play solo.

Aside from convenience xp pots, they haven't confirmed what is going to be in the shop just yet. Getting mad about that is a little premature. It's also unclear whether unlocks will be character based or account based. The tradeskill depot and dragon hoard were account unlocks that you had to buy from the cash shop in EQ, for example. If they are character based, then I might be inclined to agree with you, depending on how grindy the in game unlock is. Then again, only your race and primary class are locked in, so maybe not.

Lots of stuff has not been finalized or even announced yet. The game itself is pretty fun as is. Symphonic Aura is a fucking amazing game changer for bards. You can have up to 5 buffs just flat out autocast, no fizzling, no missed notes, no melody. It doesn't interfere with melee or casting. It is awesome. The focus stealing effect is extremely easy to use. Upgrading items is as simple as farming copies or making them via tradeskills. Motes are helpful, but nothing you can't just do for yourself without them.

How they intend to monetize will certainly impact players. That is always the case. That said, their competition is really just the TLPs and emus. No one is coming to play EQ as a new player in 2026. Anyone who loves the Live-slop is going to stay there. If they continue to tighten up and polish everything from vanilla -> POP so that it all just works and is solo/casual friendly, they should be fine.
Okay fair points on not knowing what else is in the shop, we won't know what's in it till it's out. Fine. Account based progression... does it matter? I mean you can't have alts, regardless it's still fucking retarded to have your primary class and race locked especially without allowing alts.

I don't care how good it seems all that bullshit blah blah blah. There are certain things that just should be there. Alts should be there, and if you're going to say no alts then you shouldn't restrict changing your primary class and race until the fucking end game, it's dumb as hell. But it's also one of those things that wouldn't surprise me because as I've said. Secrets can come up with ideas but can't land shit. Like honestly how does it benefit the player to lock them into a primary class that they might learn they hate? It doesn't benefit them and it just incentivizes them to quit. Like if you're mid 30's and suddenly think damn I really wish I didn't pick Rogue as my primary class, you're fucked. Delete your character? That's retarded.

But my reply was to the retard who said believing something is greedy is anti-capitalist. Greed is part of capitalism but it doesn't mean you can't call it out, but he's probably some 3rd world goat fucker so he probably doesn't even know what capitalism is.
