I believe 9pm PST.What time is the shutoff? I'm havin fun
Nope. Same as always, except for the new Iksar camp in North Ro. That place does have all class spells merchants. Get a toon up to 25 in Sneak (just swap a rogue, monk, bard, etc for two minutes).i skipped this beta, do all the towns have spell merchants for every class? pretty sure im gonna start a wood elf then unlock human before 11 to do a WE Monk primary + sk/shm, where do you get the SK shit then? freeport sewers?
With no healer, you'll be spending a ton of time in Divine Invocation, but still a strong trio.Way back in the day when I was a baby half elf ranger (shutup!), I always thought Troll Shadow Knights looked so badass. Going Troll SHD/ENC, still undecided for the third, probably WIZ so I can get the full 40% cast, cooldown reduction stance. Seems pretty helpful trying to cast mezzes while tanking a few mobs
You'll probably want a priest class in there. If Enchanter already, add Druid for great mobility, damage shield, strong DoT, and pretty good heals.Way back in the day when I was a baby half elf ranger (shutup!), I always thought Troll Shadow Knights looked so badass. My small group is going Qeynos. Not sure if this will change much but think we could get a poll or listing just to see where the different groups/guilds at launch? I believe most of our Lanys crew is going to Neriak and/or Freeport. Our small crew will definitely be Neriak unless something crazy happens
It absolutely is, but there's also a lot of overlap between Shaman and Enchanter. Its not bad, but its there.Druid? Fuck that. SK / Enc / Shm is a pretty baller combo.
Your friend was probably talking about spell stuns, since wiz/clr/etc classes in higher difficulty stun the ever living fuck out of you. Ogre stuns are only frontal melee, so it's nice, but the stun issue goes beyond ogre/aas. The devs seem to be working on some kind of diminishing returns though to make it less terrible.Yeah friend played beta briefly and was complaining about stuns.
For 22 AAs you get ogre equivalent or better?

The price was never an issue for anyone who isn't a broke boy. The problem is the maladaptive design effects that come from having P2W/P4QOL mechanics in your game. There is a financial incentive to make shit grindy and shitty and less fun to inspire people to pay for QoL. Everquest is already a property completely caked in the shit of MTX, so nobody is surprised. I just don't give any credit to the developers of such shit covered slop as 'artists' because their goal is obviously milking people for a few extra bucks vs making the best product they can. This is an ideological and moral complaint, not a financial one.

Only the 4 melee classes don't have spells, so everyone is going to be a caster to some degree.Good to hear. I think he was talking about melee stuns actually but he's not great at the game these days (if I'm being honest), so I took it w a grain of salt.
That said from my own previous experience playing many eq server builds, ogre stun resist is always head and shoulders about every single other race benefit.
Especially for casters and I think all three of my dudes are going to be casters

Yes, it is a must have, especially if you are going to be killing more than one mob at a time.Ok fine it was a dumb thing to say lol. But just kind of proves my point that everyone is going to want stun resist via race or aa at some point.
Ya I did War/Enc/Druid up to 23 or so and just didn't seem to get much out of the Druid. Regen was usually enough to keep downtime to a minimum, shit died quick enough I didn't really need spot heals. End bosses will probably need it though. A Troll pally/shm/mnk would be pretty funny. You'll probably want a priest class in there. If Enchanter already, add Druid for great mobility, damage shield, strong DoT, and pretty good heals.
