Using the VideoFX feature in ISBoxer has made running 5 characters MUCH easier. It makes for easier "driving" on the main toon without having to constantly switch between windows unless its an emergency.
Here's a picture of how it currently looks, knowing that once I finish leveling the Paladin (and gearing) he'll be the "driver" instead of the Beastlord.

My goal tomorrow is to finally get their ClickBars working for my Cleric so I can run her from the main character window as well, the goal being to be able to click a party member on the Cleric's "party window" and have it target that member, then cast a heal.
When I used IS boxer I just had the 4 windows thing going with one main window. EQ is such a slow paced game that I never really needed anything else. But kudos to you for figuring that shit out.

All the TLP talk had me login and visit some of my old haunts. Remembered I never did the Arx Key quest for Seru (because you could illusion through the wall), and figured I'd like to do that quest.
On both Firiona and Test, the 4 shard droppers were already dead. I finally got them this morning after sticking my bard there with track on, but I was racing an 85 magician for the mobs. Funny that after 15 years, people still camp this shit. Lucky to find Lcea up too, since she was dead on both servers a few days ago.

I did a progression run on the test server a while back, and we learned very painfully that there are people who just smash old content, week after week after week, just to kill it. Not after an item or twinking. Always socially off. They just keep going there to fuck on some dragons and snakes and shit with their lvl 85+ and fuck you for questioning why.

It's more than just Test. I've got a couple whatever characters on FV that I use to refresh myself on old content. I don't think I've ever seen a raid target alive even down to trash like Gorenaire and Venril Sathir.

Oh yeah, for sure. I suspect there's a bunch of people that like super twinking their characters in era specific equipment as vanity projects. It's not like the auction house is full of Velious raid loot either for those dragons all dying the second they spawn.

I had brought a friend back from retirement & switched his toons from Druzil to Stromm just so we could do some old school nostalgia things like Seru & such. Fuck there was people that were still killing that fuck like clockwork. I just don't get the thrill of killing shit like that on a server where you can't transfer NO DROP things. I mean how many alts do you need a Seru horse on for fucks sake? I could see doing it once or twice to see what you could kill with just our 2 toons but repeatedly? I'd rather bash my balls with a tack hammer than do that shit on repeat lol

Try talking to them. These are not normal dudes. They are some kind of weird shut in, and owning the everliving shit out of content that used to be hard is what makes them rock hard. It is beyond silly to me but there are apparently a bunch of them.
They do it on wow too but you just don't see it because it's instanced. Lots and lots and lots of fuckers fucking on old content, some for transmogs, many just for their dose of e-viagra from downing 2005 bosses.
If you want external proof, browse the allakhazam comments for old school bosses. Tons and tons of these dudes trying to flex nuts about wrecking shit like rumblecrush with their 3 lvl 95s. At least one of them was in live roi and using my dalarek premium account, I would delete "my" forum posts from time to time...

Yeah I tried to revisit some old content on my lv 85 toons on patch server just to see if I could do it. LOL, even there it was all dead. This was like a year back.
You have to make hotkeys for it and map them all to the same key anad broadcast. The "follow" stuff built in to ISBoxer doesnt work in EQ sadly.
So I have a 105 SK / 105 Bard whom are decent(ishly) geared EOK Tier 2 groupable. As well as a 105 mage that is not quite there yet gear wise. I used to poorly alt tab box them around a year ago. I am wanting to get back into EQ and play, and I guess I have a few questions.
First, what guides are good for using ISBoxer.
Second, Is this trio still good, or should I drop the bard in favor of a priest / real healer
Third, are there any general tanking guides for SK's I should look at. Assume I know nothing type deal. I just have no real clue what AA's I should strive for / gear I should use / pick up * I do have 2.0 *
I stopped playing eq around the GoD era so much past that I have no real clue on what to do / how the game really works now. I inherited the characters from a friend that is no longer playing anymore and didn't have the heart to get rid of his toons. IIRC the account may have an extra heroic toon flagged for each account. If that helps with a needed re roll. I would like to eventually get to the point that I can do meaningful * as in non rofl stomp hey my 105 sk can clear stuff 10 expansions ago * content.

Are yours just /assist and /follow like they suggest? I think the targeting is what is fucking everything up. I think I figured out my problem though... I was using the F keys so I switched to the number pad. That seems to be working so far...
Also, how do you position your melee? I want my bard to not get riposted to death but don't want to swap screens to move it every fight.

This is a bad example, as I am just charging the mobs with the beastlord and actually had pet taunt on here to tank, but the principle is the same. I use the default gap that is in /follow to position my nerds behind the mob.
As for my autofollow macros, I just have a macro that is
/tar Eonan
/pause 2
/follow
I put the small pause in there to give the game time to register the /target command and actually do it. Without a pause you'll occasionally find that the other nerds won't follow you.

EQ1:Quick Start Guide is a decent guide. Keep in mind that ISBoxer is like a toolkit, and you don't need all the tools to do what you want.
sk/bard/mag is a very good combo. SK can tank + DPS, bard can DPS OK + pull + track + good ADPS, mage can do good DPS + Call of the Hero. Decent synergy between the bard's swarm pets + the mage's Volley/storm of Many line.
The gear on your mage/bard isn't that important as long as you have the right focus items. With a EoK geared SK, if you've done the EoK progression to get Essence of the Dragon from the end of the partisan quests, you can just start in RoS. If you haven't done that progression on all three toons, that's where I recommend starting. You'll also level to ~109 doing EoK progression, making RoS much easier.
I jumped into RoS at 105 with my crew and the biggest problem was that my bard couldn't pull mobs, which made one of the first progression quests difficult (but manageable).

Yeah, I just want a few goofy clicky items from some of these bosses and know the competition for them is more fierce than I care to overcome.
