I thought To Your Eternity was done, didn't realize it was gonna get a weird time warp to modern day season.

Now they have, so things like Toga trying to murder everyone and everything and then stabbing Uravity in the stomach ending up with some Aaron Sorkin style garbage dialogue in response is so bad. "I just want to touch you to feel your pain, I won't let anyone fall". Get the fuck outta here.
Uraraka is still a 16 year old girl. Of all the things that have started to annoy the fuck out of me about Horikoshi's writing, the way Toga's story wrapped up felt fine to me. I just can't stand Toga simps.

Toga is weird because her ability puts her wherever she wants to be on the hot/crazy scale. It also prompts a lot of questions. If you were having sex and she turned into you and made you give her a reacharound, would it be gay or masturbation with a marathon of convoluted steps?

I think S3 of OPM might be a show you wait til the end to binge. It won't get to the good stuff in 12 episodes, so unless there is a 2nd part coming in Winter, I might pass entirely.

It starts amazing. Then gets really bad, then it ramps up to greatness again.
I wouldn't call season 5 bad, it's more of a pause to catch your breath and a reminder that these are goddamn high school kids and working as child soldiers in a life and death war is not normal.

Sure.

It was not particularly well executed or interesting.

Gachiakuta, Wild Boss lady, OPM, Towa no Yugure, Hero without a class, and Punch Princess are the only shows I really want to watch as soon as they come out. I had a hard time finishing the previous season of MHA and Spy Family, so I need to finish them before I start those. There's a few fillers and some I haven't watched yet but already a good season with what I've mentioned.

As you guys have said, this season is a banger. I browsed the first episodes of almost every show... some were just too terrible to care about.
Here's the 20 that are... not terrible. Some might even be good.

Monday:
Debu to Love to Ayamachi to! - (Plus-sized Misadventures in Love) It's about some fat ugly girl that wishes for death while dying, and is isekai'd into an even fatter chick. But this chick is "cute" as per the new body owner. It's dumb, but somewhat entertaining.
Sozai Saishuka no Isekai - (A Gatherer's Adventure in Isekai) This is a story about a kid that's summoned to a new world and has the skill of gatherer. He's able to just look around and see the rarity of everything around him, thus he can easily gather and make $.
Ansatsusha de Aru Ore no Status ga Yuusha yori mo Akiraka ni Tsuyoi no da ga - (My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero's) Some class in Japan isekai'd into a new world. The people of that world summoned them in order to find the Hero who can save them from evil, but they also summon a demon king or something. One guy must be the demon king character, but his class is assassin.

Tuesday:

Chitose-kun wa Ramune Bin no Naka - (Chitose is in the Ramune Bottle) - Ok... Guy is starting a new year of high school. He's the popular kid at class that the girls seem to love. He's tasked with the job of bringing a kid that keeps skipping school back into the mix, but that kid hates him. And... Whatever, it wasn't terrible.
Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi S2 - (Campfire Cooking season 2) I kind of liked the first season. It kept my attention. The game plan is this dude is isekai'd into a new world, but still has an amazon type skill which lets him purchase food. Things that don't already exist in that world.

Wednesday:

Mushoku no Eiyuu - (Hero Without a Class) This guy is living in a fantasy world with magic, swords and shit. Once coming of age, they are able to unlock a class that will become their purpose in life. The kid's mom is the sword saint, and his dad is something special also. Everyone thought he'd be awesome, but he doesn't unlock any class at all. But we see that not having a class allows him the ability to use skills from all the other classes, assuming he practices them.
Let's Play: Quest-darake no My Life - This is a webtoon comic that became an anime. The story is this girl designs and builds a computer game, and her online love interest randomly tries the game on his twitch stream and shits all over it because he played it wrong (like a hack and slasher instead of a puzzle game) It's a rom-com, but the manga really wasn't bad.
Dragon Raja S2 (JP) - Dragon Raja was a show that I really liked a few seasons ago. It's a Chinese show, but I found it in Japanese, which makes it not sound like cancer any longer. Season 2 technically started last season, but it took until this season to get the Japanese voice over version.

Ok, that's 8 shows so far. I'll give you the other 12 tomorrow. I'm kinda tired right now.

I do like that you sum these up. Thx.

western tv and movies are so terrible, i got the wife to watch an anime. I haven't' really payed attention to japanamtion since the early 2000's and prior to that, it was just everyone we knew had like six VHS tapes between us with some very old anime on it. so i'm out of the loop by about a quarter century. My favorate series was olde macross stuff.

anyway the wife liked death note. i think she's receptive to animes where the characters are shaped like normal people and don't spaz out so much. I THINK she wouldn't like wacky anime attacks nearly as much as quasi realistic stuff going on. I thought i may see if she wants to watch full metal alchemist next? i hear folks like that?

Is it better to watch full metal alchemist or FMA brotherhood first? i know the second thing is a remake of the first, but is it of stand-alone quality? i thought about seeing if she would want to watch evangelion.

is there newer stuff she may like? i saw folks say they liked chain saw man?

we don't watch a lot of shows and (the entire west) has been putting out such garbage i figured we could cherry pick some anime she'd like.

Regarding FMA & Brotherhood, they tell "almost" the same story. At least it's the same for 75%. But then they caught up to the Manga (much like Game of Thrones didn't have a book to follow for the last 2 seasons). Brotherhood was released after the manga was finished, so it gave a "complete" unaltered story. I personally prefer normal FMA, but that's because it's the series I saw first. Other people prefer more accurate Brotherhood.

So in closing, you don't have to watch one to watch the other. Both series are standalone. They made Brotherhood to overwrite what the anime director decided to do with the end of the series.
Keep in mind if you watch Brotherhood, there's a movie called The Sacred Star of Milos that takes place right after the final episode.

Additionally, there's a much shorter series you "may' like.
Inuyashiki: Last Hero. It's a show about people getting replaced by aliens.. kinda. People get hurt or die and the aliens replace the damaged parts with high tech computer robotics. Then these changed people battle one another for... reasons? It's different. The main character is this old grandfather guy.
